RUGGED RIDGE 7212.20 FM Antenna Mount Kit

Product Information

The CB/AM/FM Antenna Mount Kit includes the following components:

1. Antenna Mount
2. Gasket
3. Antenna Stud
4. Antenna Cable
5. Ground Cable
6. CB Radio Cable
7. JK Radio Cable
8. Non-JK Radio Cable
9. Multiplexor
10. FME-UHF Adapter
11. Double Female CB Adapter
12. M6 Nut

Product Usage Instructions

To install the CB/AM/FM Antenna Mount Kit, please follow the steps below:

1. Unscrew the antenna from the base and remove the plastic trim using a flathead screwdriver.
2. Remove the three screws from the antenna base and unplug the factory antenna cable. Save the screws for later use.
3. Remove the glove box and locate the factory antenna cable wrapped in foam. Disconnect the antenna cable and remove it from the vehicle by pulling it from outside.
4. Feed the small end of the Antenna Cable through the hole in the fender until it is inside the cabin of the Jeep.
5. Install the Antenna Stud on the Antenna Mount. Insert the Antenna Cable through the Antenna Mount and Gasket, and connect it to the Antenna Stud.
6. Using the screws removed in step 2, install the Antenna Mount on the fender.
7. Connect the FME to UHF Adapter to the Antenna Cable and the Antenna port of the Multiplexor.
8. Remove the plastic carpet nut from the stud in the passenger side footwell. Place the Multiplexor and Ground Cable on the stud and fasten them using the M6 Nut.
9. Attach the other end of the Ground Cable to the ground stud near the passenger door.
10. Connect the JK Radio Cable to the AM/FM port of the Multiplexor. Connect the CB Radio Cable to the CB port of the Multiplexor. If installing on an earlier model, use the Non-JK Radio Cable instead of the JK Radio Cable.
11. Connect the JK Radio Cable to the factory antenna cable. If installing on an earlier model, use the Non-JK Radio Cable instead of the JK Radio Cable.
12. Connect the CB Radio Cable to the CB radio. Use the supplied Double Female CB Adapter if necessary to connect it to another CB cable.

HOW TO USE

CB/AM/FM Antenna Mount Kit

1. Unscrew the antenna from the base and remove the plastic trim using a flat head screwdriver.
2. Remove three screws from the antenna base and unplug factory antenna cable. Save screws for later use.
3. Remove the glove box and locate the factory antenna cable wrapped in foam. Disconnect the antenna cable and remove it from the vehicle by pulling it from an outside vehicle.
4. Feed the small end of the Antenna Cable through a hole in the fender until the Antenna Cable is inside the cabin of the Jeep.
5. Install Antenna Stud on Antenna Mount. Insert the Antenna Cable through the Antenna Mount and Gasket and connect it to the Antenna Stud.
6. Using the screws removed in Step 2, install Antenna Mount on the fender.
7. Connect FME to UHF Adapter to Antenna Cable and “Antenna” port of the Multiplexor.
8. Remove plastic carpet nut from stud in passenger side footwell. Place Multiplexor and Ground Cable on stud and fasten using M6 Nut.
9. Attach the other end of the Ground Cable to the ground stud near the passenger door.
10. Connect JK Radio Cable to the “AM/FM” port of Multiplexor. Connect the CB Radio Cable to the “CB” port of the Multiplexor. If installing on an earlier model, use Non-JK Radio Cable in place of JK Radio Cable.
11. Connect the JK Radio Cable to the factory antenna cable. If installing on an earlier model, use Non-JK Radio Cable in place of JK Radio Cable.
12. Connect the CB Radio Cable to the CB radio. Use the supplied Double Female CB Adapter if necessary to connect to another CB cable.
