Product Usage Instructions

  1. Components needed: Bundle, Tube, and Heat Shrink.
  2. Install onto cable: First, apply Heat Shrink and then Clear Tubing.
  3. Cut the cable jacket, leaving 63mm for Splice Cassette, 41.5mm for Furcation Tubing, and 1.5mm for a gap.
  4. Strip the cable jacket to expose the fiber.
  5. Feed the fibers into the bundle, leaving a 1.5mm gap between the cable jacket and the end of the bundle.
  6. Mark the cable and bundle as shown and slide the tube into place.
  7. Tape the ends of the cable to secure the bundle and cable in place as heat shrink is applied.
  8. Slide the heat shrink into place.
  9. Apply heat shrink tubing to complete the installation, being careful not to overheat the furcation tube end.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Instructions for Termination:

  1. Components: Bundle, Tube, and Heat Shrink
  2. Install Onto Cable: Heat Shrink 1st then Clear Tubing.
  3. Cut jacket 63”. This allows 20” for Splice Cassette, 41.5” for Furcation Tubing, and 1.5” for gap.
  4. Strip the jacket to expose fiber.
  5. Feed fibers into a bundle. Leaving a 1.5” gap between the cable jacket and the end of the bundle.
  6. Mark cable and bundle as shown and slide tube into place.
  7. Tape the ends of the cable to secure the bundle and cable in place as heat shrink is applied.
  8. Slide heat shrinks into place.
  9. Apply heat shrink tubing to complete. Be careful not to overheat on the furcation tube end.
