Product Usage Instructions
WARNING: Failure to follow installation instructions and not using the provided hardware may damage the intake system, engine, and components. Do not attempt to install the intake system while the engine is hot to avoid the risk of severe burns from touching hot engine components.
- Before starting the installation, ensure that you have all the parts mentioned in the user manual. If any parts are defective or missing, contact the authorized Injen dealer from whom you purchased the product.
- Carefully read and understand all the instructions provided in the user manual before proceeding with the installation. If you have any questions or doubts regarding the installation process, contact your Injen Technology dealer for assistance. It is recommended to have a qualified mechanic perform the installation.
- The product comes with a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship, excluding the filter element. The warranty covers repair or replacement of the defective part at Injen Technology’s discretion. It does not cover incidental or consequential damages, the cost of installation or removal of the defective part, or its replacement. Proof of purchase is required.
- Verify your filter type before performing any cleaning maintenance. The Blue media filter is a dry air filter that does not require oil. It can be cleaned using a vacuum or light compressed air. Do not clean it using water or an Injen restore kit.
- The Red media filter is a factory oiled air filter that requires oil. Use the Injen restore kit for cleaning this filter. It can be cleaned using water or a cleaning solution.

IMPORTANT: Disconnect the vehicle’s battery before starting the installation process.
MAF Harness Installation
- Lift up the engine cover and remove it to access the stock intake system.
- Disconnect the MAF sensor harness and pull the line away from the airbox.
- Disconnect the Crank case fitting from the intake tube and pull it back from the tube.
- Unclip the upper half of the airbox and remove it from the vehicle.
- Lift up and remove the stock intake tube from the vehicle.
- Loosen the 3 bolts holding the lower part of the airbox in place.
- Lift up and remove the lower part of the airbox from the vehicle.
- Loosen the 2 screws holding the MAF sensor in place using a Phillips screwdriver. Carefully remove the MAF sensor.

TOOLS REQUIRED
- 10mm Ratchet & Socket
- 8mm nut drive
- 2.5mm Allen key
- Flat Blade Screwdriver
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Pliers/cutters
Report any defective or missing parts to the authorized Injen dealer you
purchased this product from. Before installing any parts of this system,
please read the instructions thoroughly. If you have any questions regarding
installation, please contact your Injen Technology dealer. Installation DOES
require some mechani-cal skills. A qualified mechanic is always recommended.
A Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser against defects in
material and workmanship on all Injen intake systems excluding the filter
element. Any and all warranty coverage is limited to the repair or replacement
of the defective part only, at Injen Technology’s discretion. The warranty
does not cover incidental or conse-quential damages, nor does it cover the
cost of installation or removal of the defective part or its replacement.

Injen intake systems are street legal in most states unless the state is
adopting to California Emissions standards. States that have adopted
California emission standards include: Arizona, California, Connecticut,
District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico,
New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington. These
states will require an Cal-ifornia Air Resource Board Executive Order Number
(CARB E.O.) for the legal use of an Injen intake system in your vehicle for
use on public roads or highways. These vehicle will be considered “Legal in
California only for racing vehicles competition use only, which may never be
used upon a public street or highway. Please keep your factory air box
assembly for any future use.
NOTE:Verify your filter before any cleaning maintenance!
- Blue media filter: Dry Air Filter, no oil required.
- (SuperNano Web Dry filters require no oil, these can be cleaned using a vacuum or light compressed air. Please do not clean using water or injen restore kit. )
- Red media filter : Factory Oiled Air Filter.
- (Oiled cotton gauze filters require oil, please use injen restore kit. This filter can use water or cleaning solution for maintenance. )

Instruction Manual P/N:EVO2202
- Stock intake system shown. Lift up engine cover and remove.
- Disconnect the MAF sensor harness and pull line away harness from the airbox.
- With 10mm nut driver or socket with ratchet, loosen the clamps on throttle body and airbox.
- Now disconnect the Crank case fit-ting from the intake tube and pull back from tube.
- Unclip upper half of airbox and remove from vehicle.
- Now lift up and remove the stock intake tube from the vehicle.
- Loosen the 3 bolts holding in the lower part of the airbox.
- Now lift up and remove the lower part of the airbox out of vehicle.
- With phillips screwdriver, loosen the 2 screws holding in the MAF sensor. Care-fully remove the MAF sensor.
- Install the MAF sensor into the intake tube, secure using provided M4 button head screws.
- Loosen and remove the harness bracket from the engine using 10mm socket or wrench.
- Remove the 3 grommet with crush-washer and install into the new air box. Install the provided 3/8” NPT plug to the thredded hole on the air box.
- Carefuly remove the OEM Air box scoop using flathead screwdriver.
- Install to the air box.
- Secure using provided #56 band clamp.
- Install the air box assembly into the vehicle and position.
- Secure the OEM airbox to the original airbox position.
- Secure and tighten using OEM M8 screws.
- Insert twist lock filter to the air box.
- Once seated, rotate in either direc-tion 1/4 turn till filter locks.
- Install step hump hose to the throttle body. Install the intake tube to the vehicle and position.
- Once adjusted and positioned properly, tighten all clamps using 8mm nut driver. Connect the MAF sensor harness.
- Re-connect the crank case line to the injen intake tube.
- Remove the smaller vacuum line, install the provided 4mm vacuum line and secure to engine and fitting on intake tube. Re-install the engine cover.
Congratulations! You have just completed the installation of this intake system. Periodically, check the alignment of the intake, normal wear and tear can cause nuts and bolts to come loose. Note: Check clearance and adjust if needed! Failure to check the alignment and adjust the intake can cause damage that will void the warranty. Injen Technology is not responsible for any damages caused by/from improper installation.
Test Drive
- With the transmission in neutral or park and the parking brake engaged, start the engine. Listen for air leaks or odd noises. If air leaks are detected, secure hoses and connections. For any odd noises, inspect entire system for cause and adjust intake as needed. The Injen intake will function identically to the factory system but will be louder and more powerful.
- Perform a road test. Listen for odd noises or rattles and fix as necessary.
- If there are no issues, continue to enjoy your added performance from the Injen performance Intake kit.
- Injen Technology recommends you periodically check clearance and adjust if needed! Failure to check the alignment and adjust the intake can cause damage that will void the warranty.
- Injen Technology is not responsible for any damages caused by/from improper installation.
- Upon completion of the installation, reconnect the negative battery terminal before you start the engine.
- Align the entire intake system for the best possible fit. Once the intake has been properly fitted continue to tighten all nuts, bolts and clamps.
- Periodically, recheck the alignment of the intake system and make sure there is proper clearance around and along the length of the intake. Failure to follow proper mainentance proce-dures may cause damage to the intake and will void the warranty.
- Start the engine and listen carefully for any odd noises, rattles and/or air leaks prior to taking it for a test drive. If any problems arise go back and check the vacuum lines, hoses and clamps that maybe causing leaks or rattles and correct the problem.
- Check the filter for excessive dirt build up. Clean or replace the filter with an original Injen filter (can be bought on-line at “injenonline.com”). Congratulations! You have just completed the installation of the best intake system sold on the market. Enjoy the added power and performance of your new intake system.
