Product Information

The Summit Series Fender Flares Toyota Tundra (22-ON) FIT-FF1028 is a set of fender flares designed specifically for the Toyota Tundra model year 2022 and onwards. The fender flares are made from high-quality materials to provide durability and protection for your vehicle. The package includes all the necessary hardware, such as extrusion, alcohol wipe, attachment clips, long screws, and spacers, for installation. The fender flares are designed to match the profile of the vehicle and come into contact with specific areas of the vehicle body.

Before painting and installing the product, it is important to thoroughly inspect all components listed in the tables provided in the user manual. Test fitment should also be done prior to painting and installation. If there are any fitment questions or missing components, it is recommended to contact EGR Inc. for assistance. To prevent damage, the product should not be exposed to temperatures above 70°C (158°F) during baking, and the extrusion and hardware should not be fitted to the fender flares until the paint is completely dry.

Product Usage Instructions

Install Preparation

Step 1: Attach the included rubber seal to all four fender flares. Peel back two adhesive backings and position the seal on the fender flare. Attach the seal by peeling back a few inches at a time and applying pressure to secure it to the fender flare edge. Attach the rubber seal along the top leading edge of the fender flare where it contacts the vehicle body. Trim the rubber seal at the end of each fender flare. Save any extra rubber seal for installation on the opposite side fender flare and discard any excess once both sides are complete.

Important Note: Trim the rubber seal.

Front Fender Flare Installation

Step 2: Using a 10mm socket/wrench, remove the factory screw locations (X8) as noted in the user manual and retain them for re-installation.

Step 3: Clean the body areas where the fender flares will contact the vehicle surface. Ensure that the fenders are dry prior to installation.

Step 4: Hold the fender flare on the vehicle in the position of best fit. Note where the marked slots in the fender flare align with the existing mounting holes on the vehicle. Remove the fender flare.

Step 5: Secure the attachment clips by sliding them into the fender flare slots. Use the factory screws that were previously removed to attach the clips into the corresponding existing holes in the upper inner splashguard. Do not fully tighten the screws at this stage.

Step 6: Using the factory screws that were previously removed, loosely screw them into the slotted hole locations. Once all factory screws have been re-installed, apply pressure and begin to tighten them in the order shown in the user manual. Ensure that the rubber seal is sitting flat against the vehicle. Once satisfied, fully tighten all screw locations in the above order.

This completes the installation for the front driver side. Repeat the steps for the front passenger side. For Technical Support/Warranty Information, please call 800-757-7075 or contact EGR Inc. at 4000 East Greystone Drive, Ontario, CA 91761.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS

If Fender Flares are being painted; do not install edge extrusion until painting is complete. Prior to painting, clean all surfaces to be painted using clean water and a mild detergent, do not use lacquer thinner or any solvent-based products. Wipe completely dry. Best results will be achieved by wiping the areas to be painted with a tack rag just prior to painting. Most automotive paints can be applied directly to the Fender Flares; however, some may require a primer (check paint manufacturer specifications). Good adhesion will be achieved without sanding. Select a paint (and primer if necessary) that is suitable for rigid plastics PMMA (Acrylic). If using a paint system that requires baking, do not expose the product to temperatures above 70°C (158°F). Do not fit the extrusion or any of the hardware to the Fender Flares until the paint is completely dry.
