Read these original operating instructions and the safety instructions chapter before using the device for the first time.
Act in accordance with them. Keep them safe for future reference or for future owners.

Safety instructions

DANGER

  • Risk of electric shock. Maintain a sufficient distance from power or high-voltage lines when cleaning.

WARNING

  • The device is not intended for use by persons with restricted physical, sensory or mental abilities or those lacking in experience and / or lacking in knowledge.
  • Children must not operate the device.
  • Only people who have been instructed on how to use the device, or have proven their ability to operate it, and have been explicitly instructed to use it, must use the device.
  • Children must be supervised to prevent them from playing with the appliance.
  • Keep people and objects away from the object to be cleaned.
  • Switch the high-pressure cleaner off and disconnect the high-pressure hose from the high-pressure gun after finishing cleaning work.
  • Depending on the high-pressure cleaner used, larger recoil torques can occur with the accessories used. Familiarise yourself with the telescopic spray lance by testing it on the ground first. Only work with a firm footing on the ground. Never use it while on a ladder.
  • Make sure you have a firm footing on the ground before you trigger the high-pressure jet.

  • Maximum water temperature 60°C (please observe the instructions for your high-pressure cleaner).

Intended use

The telescopic spray lance can be used with all Kärcher Home & Garden high- pressure cleaners of the K2 to K7 classes. It is not suitable for commercial use.

The packing materials can be recycled. Please dispose of packaging in accordance with the environmental regulations.

Electrical and electronic appliances contain valuable, recyclable materials and often components such as batteries, rechargeable batteries or oil, which – if handled or disposed of incorrectly – can pose a potential threat to human health and the environment. Assembly

The spray lance, the existing trigger gun, the hose of the telescopic spray lance and the high-pressure cleaner hose must be installed before operating the device.

Install the high-pressure nozzle on the spray lance

Select the nozzle according to the high-pressure cleaner used.
K 2, K 3, K 4, K 5: Use a brown high-pressure nozzle
K 6, K 7: Use a white high-pressure nozzle (already installed)

  1. Loosen and remove the slip for the nozzle mounting from below with a small screwdriver.
  2. Pull out the unused high-pressure nozzle.
  3. Select the required high-pressure nozzle according to the high-pressure cleaner used and press it in.
  4. Insert the clip and secure the high-pressure nozzle.

  1. Insert the spray lance firmly into the adapter and fix it with a 90° turn.

Initial startup

Mounting the trigger gun
  1. Insert the trigger gun with the connected high-pressure cleaner hose into the holder of the telescopic spray lance.

  2. Tighten one hook and loop strip over the top of the trigger gun.

  3. Tighten the other hook and loop strip over the back of the trigger gun.

  1. Push the adapter of the hose into the mount of the trigger gun.
  2. Turn the hose until it latches into place.

Connecting high-pressure cleaner

Note
The high-pressure cleaner hose should be connected to the trigger gun in accordance with the operating instructions of the high-pressure cleaner before it is installed in the holder of the telescopic spray lance.

Operation

The telescopic spray lance comprises 2 individually extendable pipes that are connected with a joint. With the help of the joint, the telescopic spray lance can be fixed at different angles up to a maximum of 180°. When extending the telescopic pipes and adjusting the angle, the telescopic spray lance can be placed on the gun holder.

  1. Adjust the telescopic spray lance to the desired length.

    Operation
    a Press and hold the telescopic pipe unlocking button.
    b Extend the lower telescopic pipe to the desired length.
    c Release the telescopic pipe unlocking button. The telescopic pipe is locked.
    d If necessary, repeat the steps for the upper telescopic pipe.

  2. Adjust the angle of the telescopic spray lance.

    Operation
    a Push the adjustment lever towards the telescopic pipe and keep it pressed.
    b Hold one pipe and set the desired angle by moving the other pipe.
    c Release the telescopic pipe adjustment lever.

  3. Put the high-pressure cleaner into operation, refer to operating instructions for the high-pressure cleaner.

  4. Switch on the high-pressure cleaner, also refer to the operating instructions for the high-pressure cleaner.

    a Unlock the lever of the trigger gun.
    b Pull the lever on the trigger gun and commence cleaning.

Ending operation

  1. Switch off the high-pressure cleaner.

  2. Stop the water supply to the high-pressure washer.

  3. Depressurise the device.

    b Press the trigger gun lever to relieve the remaining pressure in the system.

  4. Press the hose of the telescopic spray lance into the mount of the trigger gun, turn it and remove it.

  5. Loosen the hook and loop strip and remove the trigger gun with the connected high-pressure cleaner hose from the holder.

Transport and storage

CAUTION
Failure to observe the weight
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during transport and storage.
ATTENTION
Length of the telescopic spray lance
Only store and transport the telescopic spray lance with the telescopic pipes pushed in and folded up.

  1. Finish operation, refer to chapter Ending operation

  2. Insert the telescopic pipe.

    a Press and hold the unlocking button.
    b Push in the telescopic pipe as far as it will go.
    c Release the unlocking button.

  3. If necessary, repeat steps for the 2nd telescopic pipe.

  4. Fold up the telescopic spray lance.

    b Hold the lower telescopic pipe and fold the upper telescopic pipe onto the lower telescopic pipe.
    c Release the adjustment lever.
