R14 BUTTONS AND PORTS

| Power Button
Press to turn the device on or off
---|---
| DC Jack
Plug-in the supplied 12V DC, 2A power adapter
| LEDs button
Press to turn the device LEDs on or off
| WPS button
Press to make it easier for new WiFi devices to connect to your network
| Reset Button
Using a small object such as a paperclip, press and hold for 10 seconds to reset the device to factory defaults
| WAN Port
Connect the Ethernet cable from this port to your internet device (e.g. modem)
| LAN Ports 1-4
LAN port to connect wired devices

USB 3.0 Port (on front of unit)

  • High-speed USB port for USB memory devices. Use the motosync app to enable network sharing of a compatible USB drive. For the latest list of compatible drive formats, visit motorolanetwork.com/r14

PLACEMENT TIPS

We recommend placing your router near the center of the desired WiFi coverage area. If you add extenders, evenly space them throughout your home. Visit motorolanetwork.com/mesh for a list of compatible extenders. See the example below.

TOP PANEL LIGHTS

The lights on the top of the unit display status information.

Light Color Description
**** Green ON: Power on OFF: Power off
**** Green or  Amber Green: Connected to the Internet

Amber: Not connected to the internet
OFF: No ethernet plugged into the WAN port
2.4| Green| ON: 2.4 GHz WiFi is enabled
Blinking: Data is flowing or WPS is in discovery mode
OFF: WiFi is not enabled
5| Green| ON: 5 GHz WiFi is enabled
Blinking: Data is flowing or WPS is in discovery mode OFF: WiFi is not enabled
USB| Green| ON: USB device connected OFF: No device connected
LAN 1 – 4| Green| ON: Device is connected Blinking: Data is flowing OFF: No device connected
