Batteries

  • Insert the included AA 1.5 V batteries before first use. Observe the polarity.
  • If the batteries are low, the green LED close to the but ton 9 flashes.
  • Always replace all batteries at once with batteries of the same type and the same capacity. Close the lid 8

Use

Caution! Make sure to strictly comply with local laws when using the device.

Note: The device is calibrated ex factory. Check accuracy before first use and from time to time.

Automatic levelling

  • Place the device on a horizontal surface, fasten it onto a tripod, or attach it to metallic surfaces.

  • To switch the device on push the levelling lock 4 to the right to . Caution: The laser lights up immediately.

  • The device compensates small deviations from level setup.
    The laser flashes at deviations, that are too large for compensation.

  • To switch the device off push the levelling lock

  • to the left to and press and hold the button 9.

Outdoor pulse
When using an optional laser receiver, you may switch to outdoor pulse for extended range. While in automatic levelling mode, press and hold the button 9 to switch between normal and outdoor pulse. A blue LED close to the button 9 indicates the outdoor pulse.

Working without automatic levelling

  • To switch the device on press the button 9.
    Caution: The laser lights up immediately.

  • The laser flashes from time to time to signal, that deviations from level will not be compensated.

  • To switch the device off press and hold the button 9.

Hiding beams

  • Press the button 9 to switch between cross-line, horizontal, and vertical beam.

Transport and storage

Push the levelling lock 4 to the left to before transport. Use the storage case for transport and storage. Remove batteries before storing for an extended time.

Maintenance and care

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth only. Never use scouring powders or chemical cleaning agents.

Disposal

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol re – quires separate disposal for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Such equipment may contain valuable, but dangerous and hazardous substances. You are required by law to return these products to a designated collec – tion point for the recycling of WEEE and must not under any circumstances dispose of them as unsorted municipal waste. In this way, you can help to conserve resources and protect the environment.

In Germany, HORNBACH is obliged:

  • To take back old appliances of the same type free of charge in HORNBACH stores when you purchase a new electrical or electronic appliance.
  • To take back up to 3 WEEE of the same type (up to max. 25 cm edge length) free of charge in HORNBACH stores, even if you do not purchase a new appliance.
  • When delivering a new electrical or electronic appliance to a private household, to collect an old appliance of the same type free of charge or to enable you to return it in your immediate vicinity.

Make sure that all batteries have been removed from the appliance before disposing of it. You will find notes on this in the operating instructions (see chapter Batteries).

Used batteries and rechargeable batteries must be disposed of properly. Battery selling stores and municipal collection points offer special containers for bat – tery disposal. Precise data on the type and chemical system of the batteries can be found in the technical data, corresponding markings on the batteries themselves.

Children must not play with plastic bags and packaging material, due to the risk of injury and suffocation. Store such material safely or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way-
