alpha Technologies Tetrex Series UPS Replacement Battery

Product Information

The Tetrex Series Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) from
Alpha Technologies are microprocessor-controlled line interactive units designed for indoor use. They have automatic frequency sensing to match the output frequency with the inputs. These UPS units are capable of providing backup power to connected loads and protect them from power fluctuations and outages.

Key Features

  • Automatic frequency sensing
  • Line interactive design
  • Microprocessor-controlled
  • Overload protection
  • Optional RS-232 Port for connectivity
  • Optional external battery pack connector

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Put the unit in a dry, clean place.
  2. Plug the unit into a power outlet.
  3. Plug in the loads. Note: Do not plug in a laser printer or plotter as these loads can draw more power than the unit can provide.
  4. Press the On/Off button for 1 second. The green LED on the front panel should turn on. If it doesn’t, refer to the troubleshooting section in the manual.
  5. One at a time, turn on the loads. If the buzzer continuously sounds, it indicates that the unit is overloaded. Turn off unnecessary loads to resolve the issue.
  6. To turn off the unit, press the On/Off button for more than 3 seconds.

Safety Instructions

  • Do not expose this unit to water.
  • Keep the user manual in a safe place as it contains important installation and operating instructions.

Alarms and Troubleshooting
The Tetrex UPS units have several audible alarms to indicate various conditions. The power button can be used to turn off these alarms. The following are the alarms and their actions:

  • Slow Alarm (1 beep every 2 seconds): Indicates most alarms except for low battery and overload. Refer to the troubleshooting table for further actions.
  • Low Battery Alarm (1 beep every 1/2 second): Indicates that the unit is operating on battery power and the battery is almost discharged. This alarm cannot be shut off.
  • Overload (continuous beeping): Indicates that the unit is overloaded and it automatically turns itself off. Disconnect unnecessary loads and restart the unit. This alarm cannot be shut off.
