Description
Indicator Light Green/Yellow/Red
The LED area of the Cala KNX IL The LED light signal can illuminate or flash
in the colors green, yellow, or red. This allows states to be visualized for
the KNX bus system. E.g. threshold value violations, room occupancy, or other
status messages can be linked to Cala KNX IL, and the displayed color changes
if these threshold values are exceeded/undercut. States can be linked via AND
logic gates and OR logic gates. An integrated actuating variable comparator
can compare and issue values that have been received via communication
objects. With the Cala KNX IL CO2 model, the measured value of the integrated
CO2 sensor can control the color of the illuminated area.
Via the bus, Cala KNX IL CO2 can receive an external CO2 value and process it
with its own data to form an overall value (mixed value, e.g. room average).
The CO2-measured value can be used for the control of
limit-dependent switch outputs. A PI controller regulates the ventilation
according to CO2 concentration.
Scope of delivery
- 55 mm insert with LED illuminated area
- Supporting ring
- KNX plug-in terminal
Accessories required
- The frame (for insert 55 x 55 mm), is compatible with the switch scheme used in the building
- The socket according to DIN EN IEC 60670-1 / DIN 49073
- For Cala KNX IL CO2 use a windproof socket
Installation
The device is installed in a socket. Fig. 2
Note the installation provisions for SELV! The socket used must not contain
any 230 V wiring! The metal supporting ring of the socket used must be
isolated from
other metal parts (supporting rings), which could also touch 230 V cables,
also via multiple touching metal parts! Select an installation location for
Cala KNX IL CO2 where the measurement is distorted as little as possible by
external influences. Drafts from windows or doors are a possible source of
interference. Permanently measured value deviations can be corrected in the
ETS (Offset).

Sensor assembly
First, install the box with the supply connection. For the version Cala KNX IL
CO2 with integrated sensor, also, seal the supply connection ducts in order to
prevent drafts. Then screw the support ring to the
socket and place the switch program frame. Connect the bus cable +/ to the KNX
plug terminal and insert it into the slot intended for it (Fig. 4, No. 4).
Insert the housing firmly onto the support ring using the clamps so that the
sensor and frame are fixed together.
