Safety and operating instructions

CAUTION!
Live voltage!
Installation and commissioning may only be handled by an electrician.

  • Only operate devices if they are free from damage.
  • Comply with country-specific standards, directives, specifications and provisions for electrical installation.
  • Switch off voltage to the system during installation.
  • Observe the regulations and standards applicable to SELV circuits during installation and wiring of the KNX connection.

The device may only be operated as a fixed-site installation, when assembled and after conclusion of all installation and operational start-up tasks and only in the surroundings designated for it. Improper use, modifications to the device or failure to observe this manual will void any warranty and guarantee claims.

Description

Push Button for Temperature, Light and Solar Protection
The Push Button has touch-sensitive buttons with which functions can be called up in the KNX building bus system. The glass surface is printed with areas for setting the temperature, light and solar protection. LEDs are integrated in these areas and their behaviour can be adjusted.
A temperature sensor is integrated into the Push Button. An external temperature reading can be received via the bus and processed with its own data to create a total temperature (mixed value).
The Push Button has a PI controller for heating and cooling. The setpoint temperature can be changed using the “+” and “-” touch buttons. Communication objects can be linked via AND and OR logic gates.

Scope of delivery

  • Push button with mounting
  • 4 screw anchors 4 × 20 mm with matching 4 flat head screws 3 × 25 mm
  • KNX plug-in terminal

Installation

The Push Button is made for wall mounting. The device can be moun- ted directly on plaster or on device socket according to DIN EN IEC 60670-1 and other sockets, e.g. Swiss inlet box.
If the device is installed in a socket, this socket must not contain cabling with 230 V.
To avoid falsifying the temperature value, use a wind-proof socket and also seal the inlet pipes against draughts.
When selecting an installation location, ensure that the measurement results are affected as little as possible by external influences. Possible sources of interference include:

  • Direct sunlight
  • Warming or cooling of the building structure on which the sensor is mounted, e.g. due to sunlight, heating or cold water pipes
  • Drafts from windows and doors
  • Connection lines and ducts which lead from warmer or colder areas to the sensor

Permanent measurement variations can be corrected in the ETS (offset). Fig. 3 Front view

Remove the front panel from the mounting: Move the front panel upwards as far as it will go to release the lock. The two parts can be easily separated. Mount the front panel on the mounting: Place the front panel slightly above the centre position so that it hooks
in and slide it down. Fig. 7, 8 Installation directly on the wall
Remove the red-black KNX plug-in terminal, it is not required.
Connect the bus +/- connecting wires to the spring-loaded terminals on the front panel.
The wires are pushed into the connection openings. To pull it out, press the spring down, e.g. with a screwdriver. Fig. 9 Installation on a socket If there is a cavity behind the device, e.g. when using a socket, you can use the red/black KNX plug-in terminal for connection.

Maintenance

Fingerprints on the glass panel are best removed with a cloth moistened with water or a microfiber cloth. Do not use an abrasive cleaning agent or aggressive cleansing agents.

Disposal

After use, the device must be disposed of in accordance with the legal regulations. Do not dispose of it with the household waste!

The product conforms to the conditions of the EU Directives.
