  • When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
  • Do not pull, twist, or wrap cord around the dryer.

  • The dryer and casing are hot when in use. Do not let eyes and bare skin touch heated surfaces.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces of the dryer.
  • The dryer has no user serviceable parts. Servicing should only be performed by an authorized service representative.
  • Suitable for dry locations ONLY.
  • While not in use, ensure the dryer has completely cooled before being placed into any storage.
  • WARNING – Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other heat sensitive areas.
  • Attachments may be hot during use. Allow them to cool before handling.
  • While using the appliance, keep your hair away from air inlets.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Buttercup has variable power and heat settings. Simply plug the dryer in and choose from the following:

  • High power/speed
  • Low power/speed
  • Cool air shot
  • High Heat
  • Medium Heat
  • Low Heat

Included with Buttercup are 2 concentrator nozzles:

  • Wider Nozzle: Focuses on a greater area to help hair dry faster. Great for longer or thicker hair.
  • Narrow Nozzle: Forces more air through a smaller area for intensity and precision styling. Great for adding sleek polish to specific areas, including bangs/fringe.
  • The dryer has a polarized plug (one pin is wider than the other) as a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet in one direction only.
  • If the plug does not fit securely, reverse the plug.
  • If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
  • Do not attempt to override this safety feature.

Applies to North American (UL) appliance only:
This dryer is equipped with a Appliance Leakage Current Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature that will not allow the dryer to operate in the event of immersion in water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly, simply place the plug into the outlet and press the test button located on the plug.

CHECK ALCI EVERY TIME YOU USE THE DRYER.

  • Unplug dryer at the end of use.
  • For best performance, regularly remove filter cap and clean filter.

STYLING TIPS
Turn dryer on, choose appropriate temperature and speed settings, and dry hair to completion, For best results, dry hair in small sections at a time.

MAINTENANCE
The Buttercup is virtually maintenance free. Disconnect the dryer from the power source and do the following:

  • Ensure the air vents are clean by unscrewing the back gray cap and removing any dust, lint, or hair. Keep all vents and openings clear of dirt and dust.
  • The exterior of the dryer should be wiped with a damp cloth only. No lubrication is needed.
  • Blocked or clogged air intake vents will cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating occurs, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to cool for 10-15 minutes before restarting.
  • For safe usage of the dryer do the following every day:
  • Check the cord. Never use if any parts are split, torn or damaged.
  • Check the plug and never use it if any parts are split, torn, or damaged.
  • Check the plug pins and never use if transformed or damaged.
  • Check the buttons and do not use if cracked, split, or damaged.
  • When not in use for long periods of time, clean and dry the entire dryer using the instructions above.
  • When ready to use, follow the maintenance steps above, confirming each function of the dryer.

  • In case of defects or malfunctions, please consider the following points before contacting a repair service center.
