Product Overview
Functions
- Motion Detection: This doorbell can detect human movements and record videos to send to a paired phone within the range of its infrared sensor.
- Infrared Night Vision: According to the changes in ambient light, the doorbell can automatically switch to night vision mode when it gets dark.
- Video Call: When someone rings the doorbell, the paired phone will receive a notification and allow you to have a video call with the visitor.
- Share Doorbell: The doorbell can be shared with others via the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. The doorbell is shared will need to download and install the app and sign in with a Mi account. How to Use

Installation Install the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app
This product works with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. Control your device with the app. Scan the QR code to download and install the app. You will be directed to the connection setup page if the app is installed already. Or search ‘Mi Home/Xiaomi Home” in the App Store and Google Play to download and install it.

Awaiting connection Press and hold the reset button for three seconds. Once you hear ‘Awaiting connection,’ you can start pairing the doorbell with your phone in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.

Connecting to the doorbell Switch on the doorbell chime. Next, tap ‘MADV Smart Video Doorbell 2M’ on the app’s homepage to enter the equipment page. Then tap the upper right corner button to enter “Doorbell Settings > Indoor Chime Settings’ and operate based on app instructions.
Buttons of the chime
Volume: Tap it to change the volume.
Paring: A short press will lead into pairing mode after a “beer sound, which lasts around 100 seconds at the most; if the pairing doesn’t succeed within 100 seconds, the chime will exit the pairing mode after two “beep’ sounds. I, Sound Effect: Tap it to cycle through the sound effects.
Notice: Please set the chime close to the doorbell.
Note: The version of the app might have been updated. Please follow the instructions based on the current app version.
Installation

Selecting an installation location
Recommended installation height: The vertical distance between the camera and the floor should be 140-150 cm (47″-4.1r). Please select the installation location carefully before fixing the mount base, as it is not easy to remove after installation.
Press the doorbell, and tap the notification on the phone. Next, check the
installation location where the doorbell can capture the faces completely. 5 -
Installation Method
Using double-sided tape (This method is suitable for smooth marble, wooden or metallic surfaces.)
a. Clean the installation location so that it is flat, smooth, and dust-free.
b. Peel off the release liner from the double-sided tape and stick the mounting base on the selected location with the an arrow pointing upwards press down firmly on the mounting base for 30 seconds to ensure it is installed securely.
c. Slide the doorbell back to the mounting bracket in the right direction.
Using
wall plugs (This method is suitable for cement wall surfaces.)
a. Select a suitable installation location and use an impact drill to drill four holes with a diameter of approximately 5 mm.
b. Insert the 4 wall plugs into each hole, respectively.
c. Fix the mounting base to the wall with the self-tapping screws.
d. Slide the doorbell back to the mounting bracket In the right direction.
Note: Please use the included wall plugs and self-tapping screws for installation.
Charging the Doorbell
- Insert the eject pin into the mounting hole at the top of the doorbell.
- Slide up the doorbell to remove the doorbell from the mounting bracket.
- Please charge the device with a USB cable. The doorbell is fully charged when the charging indicator is green.
- Slide the doorbell back to the mounting bracket in the right direction.
Note: Please turn off the forcing removal alarm before charging.
Charging Indicator
The red light indicates charging. The green light indicates charging is complete.
Precautions
- Please install the doorbell in areas within the range of the Wi-Fi coverage, and try to place the doorbell where the Wi-Fi signal is strong.
- This doorbell does not support 5 GHz wireless networks.
- Avoid exposing the lens to direct sunlight to prevent recording abnormal images.
- When enabling or disabling night vision, the infrared cut-off filter is switched, and the doorbell makes a slight clicking sound. This is normal.
- This product is not waterproof, so please do not store or use it in humid environments.
- This doorbell is for residential use only, do not use it for illegal purposes.
- This device is equipped with a built-in battery that can not be removed or replaced.Do not disassemble or modify the battery by yourself.

Warning
- Only use batteries approved by the manufacturer. Replacement of the wrong type of battery may result in failure of safety protection and risk of explosion, fire, etc.
