POLARIZED PLUG (120V MODELS ONLY)

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

ELECTRICAL CORD

    3. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
Note: If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified personnel; in Latin America, by an authorized service center.

HOW TO USE

This product is for household use only.

GETTING STARTED

  • Place the toaster on a flat, level surface, where the top of the unit has enough space for the heat to flow without damaging the cabinets or walls.
  • Remove the tie from the cord and unwind.
  • Plug the unit into an electrical outlet.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR TOASTER

  • For first-time use, select setting 4 (medium). Re-adjust the setting to suit your personal preference on successive toasting operations.
  • If the wrong button is selected, press the CANCEL button, press the lever down, and reselect the desired setting.

CONTROL LEVER WITH BUILT-IN EXTRA LIFT

This toaster has a built-in toast control lever with an extra lift. If toasted food does not clear the top of the toaster use the toast control lever to raise the food for easy removal.

TOASTING CYCLE

  1. Adjust the toast shade selector to the desired setting (1 through 7).
  2. Insert slices of bread, bagels or other foods to be toasted in the appropriate slot and press the toast control lever until it locks into the down position. The self-adjusting guides automatically center food being toasted.
  3. When selecting BAGEL or FROZEN function, you must press the toast control lever before selecting one of these settings.
  4. When toasting is complete, the toast control lever releases and the appliance shuts off.
  5. Unplug the toaster when not in use.
NOTE: The Bagel function warms the outside of the bagel while toasting the cut side. Always place bagels cut side facing the interior of the toaster.

REMOVING EXCESS CRUMBS

  1. To remove excess crumbs, let the unit cool, unplug the unit, open the crumb door – shake the excess into the appropriate trash receptacle. Close and latch the crumb door before using.

FAQs

How do I clean the crumb tray?****

To remove the crumb tray, open the crumb door and remove the tray. To clean the crumb tray, wipe it with a damp cloth.

What is the best wattage for a 2 slice toaster?****

Toast that is chewy on the outside yet fluffy on the interior is more likely to be produced by a low wattage that produces a slower toasting speed. For a two-slice toaster, a decent power level would be 1000W or more, and for a four-slice toaster, 1800W or higher.

How does a toaster know when the toast is done?****

Everything around the heating components, including the bread, becomes warm. The bread becomes toast when it is exposed to the heating element for the proper length of time, turning a light brown colour. The toast will become black and start to smoke if heated for an excessive amount of time.

Can you use only one side of a toaster?****

Your model most likely only includes a mechanical heat sensor underneath the tiny bread elevator on the “one-slice” side. One slice thrown into the other side causes the thermostat, which isn’t protected by the bread, to reach its maximum temperature too quickly, shut off the appliance, and give you a piece of floppy, tepid un-toast.

Does quality of toaster matter?****

But if you stick with standard toasters, buying extra will mostly result in an improvement in design quality, cooking speed, and toast quality. You can improve the appearance and durability of a toaster by using finer materials for the body. You may cook faster and more evenly with additional wires and watts.

What are the functions of a toaster?****

A toaster is a kitchen tool used to toast items like bagels, crumpets, and sliced bread. Toast is the term for toasted bread. A standard toaster heats a piece of bread using heat emitted from heated electric components.

How long does a toaster take?****

For a toaster, use a medium setting and toast the bread for 1 to 4 minutes, leaving the stripes on. Even the quickest toasters take twice as long to toast as toaster ovens since toasting times are volume dependent. However, a toaster oven with a six-slice capacity (or greater) can rapidly make up for lost time if you’re toasting for a large group.

What are the parts of a toaster called?****

A bread rack, heat sensor, trip plate, level, timing mechanism, electromagnet, catch, and browning control are just a few of the many sophisticated pieces that make up toaster ovens and toasters.

What features to look for in a toaster?****

MORE SLOTS PER SLICES Commercial toasters frequently include six slots, as opposed to the two or four slots seen in normal toasters. Slots that are longer and broader may toast sandwich bread more thoroughly.

What type of energy does a toaster use?****

The heating element is a part of the toaster. This heating element works by converting electrical energy into heat when it comes into contact with it, helping to prepare toast (bread that turns brown on exposure to heat). Thus, with an electric toaster, electrical energy is converted to heat energy.

What is the safety device of toaster?****

An RCD is a vital safety feature that guards against harmful electric shock and lowers the possibility of electrical fires. Consider adding an RCD socket or plug to safeguard you and your property from serious appliance problems if your fuse box does not already include RCD protection for your sockets.

How long do toasters last?****

While toasters might vary in price and features, they typically last six to eight years on average. Cleaning your appliance frequently to get rid of extra breadcrumbs and other food debris will help it last longer.
