Product Usage Instructions

  1. Installation:
    Before installing the window breaker, make sure the window is suitable for this product. Follow these steps:

    • Clean the area of the window where you want to install the window breaker using the provided cleaning tissue (1).
    • Peel off the adhesive (3) from the back of the window breaker.
    • Place the window breaker on the desired location on the window, preferably in a striped area near the edge of the window. Make sure it doesn’t block your rear view.
    • Press the window breaker firmly against the glass for at least 5 seconds. Do not turn the knob at this point.
    • Check if the adhesive made contact with the complete surface by viewing the other side of the glass. Apply more pressure if needed.
    • Store the seat belt cutter (11) in an easy-to-reach place, such as behind the sun visor.
  2. Operation:
    To use the window breaker in an emergency, follow these steps:

    • In case of an emergency, turn the knob (5) clockwise. This will cause the pin (2) to strike the glass, breaking it.
    • After using the window breaker, remove the broken glass from the area for safety.
  3. Battery Replacement:
    If the LED (10) does not light up or the window breaker doesn’t function properly, it may be time to replace the battery. Follow these steps:

    • Open the battery cover (9) located on the base (6) of the window breaker.
    • Remove the old battery (8) and dispose of it properly.
    • Insert a new battery (Type CR1632) into the battery holder (7).
    • Push the battery holder back inside.
    • Close the battery cover.
  4. Disposal:
    Do not dispose of the window breaker or batteries with domestic refuse. Follow these guidelines:

    • For the window breaker, remove it from the car before disposal. If reinstalling in a new car, follow the installation steps again.
    • For batteries, contact your local authorities to find out where your nearest disposal area is. Do not dispose of batteries with domestic refuse.

Safety instructions

  • Only use this product in an emergency. The car window will break immediately when using this product.
  • In case of incorrect use, the supplier is not responsible for the damage.

Installation

  • ATTENTION! Check if the window is suitable for this product.

    • Laminated glass won’t shatter and is therefore not suitable for this product.
    • Maximum thickness of tempered glass may not exceed 8mm to guarantee optimal functionality.
      NOTE: The ideal temperature for the application of the tape is 21°C to 38°C (Appli-cation min. temperature 15°C).
  • Clean the surface of the window with the cleaning tissue (1).
    NOTE: Do not use other household cleaners.

  • Remove the release liner from the adhesive (3).

  • Position the window breaker on the rear window. Place in the highlighted striped area near the edge of the window and keep within reach for when needed. Keep in mind that it doesn’t block your rear view (See Fig. B).

  • Press it firmly against the glass for at least 5 seconds.
    NOTE: Do not turn the knob.

  • Check if the adhesive made contact with the complete surface by viewing the other side of the glass and put more pressure if needed.
    NOTE: It is important that the seat belt cutter is stored at an easy to reach place (e.g. behind the sun visor).
    Do not turn the trigger knob when its not necessary, please instruct your children to prevent unnecessary damage.

Operation

See Fig. A.

  • In case of an emergency, turn the knob clockwise, this will cause the pin to release.
  • The pin will break the car window immediately.
    ATTENTION: Keep your eyes away from the glass when activating the trigger knob. When the window breaker gets in contact with water the led will automatically start blinking, guiding you to the window breaker.

Led signal (9) explanation:

  • Short flash every 2 minutes when the battery is OK.
  • Double flash if battery needs to be replaced.
  • Blinking when the window breaker gets in contact with water.

Battery replacement:

  • Remove battery cover (8).
  • Pull battery holder (6) out of the device.
  • Remove the old battery (7).
  • Insert the new battery (CR1632) with the negative side downwards inside the battery holder (See Fig. C).
  • Push the battery holder (6) back inside.
  • Place the battery cover (8).

Replacing procedure

Remove / replace mounting set
When the mounting tape starts to come loose or two years after installation, we recommend to reinstall the window breaker. When purchasing a new car, it is also possible to remove the window breaker and install it in your new car.

Disposal

Do not dispose of electric power tools with domestic refuse.

Batteries

  • Think of the environment when disposing of batteries. Contact your local authori-ties to find out where your nearest disposal area is. Do not dispose of batteries with domestic refuse.
