conditions of use

AR 20 is a machine for generating compressed air using a blade system. Keeping a space free for ventilation around the machine while it is working is essential for its proper operation. Keep a distance of more than 1.5 metres between the air generator and any other object or wall.
It can be used in combination with either a TECAI brushing robot, or a TEGRAS brushing robot as shown in the usage diagram. Your AR20 also has a second air outlet in case you want to use another pneumatic tool. It also has an electric power outlet at the same voltage and frequency as the intake. This enables us to power other electrical equipment through the AIRNET 320.

Any other use is completely prohibited without written authorization from the manufacturer

The machine is only to be handled by personnel who are properly authorized and properly trained, or possess at least a sufficient level of technical experience.

operating instructions
Steps to install the ifoam correctly:
1 Positioning your AR20:
Place your AR20 on a smooth and stable surface. Position the machine close to a mains power socket. Once the machine has been positioned in the best place for working, lock the front wheels so that the machine remains stable.
2 Connecting to the mains:
Use the cable that comes with the machine to connect the machine to the mains. This cable has a mains connection and a power supply connector (blue) specific to the machine. Connect the cable to the mains and then connect it to your AR20. The connection to your AR20 is made by turning the blue connector to the right, as shown in the image.
With three-phase TEGRAS compressor models, check that the power phase supply is correctly connected. The compressor is equipped with a device to detect the sequence of the power lines, and to prevent operation when this is not correct. The mains connector has two interchangeable pins to ensure the correct order of the phases.

3 Using with Tegras or Tecai brushing robot:
These connections are used in the case of the Tegras Multipro and the Tecai Element Auto with the combined hose, which has a pneumatic and an electrical connection. This combined hose is not provided with the AR20. If your AR20 is to be connected with other Tegras or Tecai brushing machines, use a hose with only pneumatic connections which is not provided with the AR20. This example will explain the connection with a Tecai Multipro.
Pneumatic connection:
Connect the combined hose to your AR20.
Connect the combined hose to the pneumatic inlet connection of the TEGRAS MULTIPRO.

operating instructions
5 Turning on the AR20:
Once the tool or machine which the AR20 is going to power has been connected, turn the AR20 on using the switch located on the side of the machine as shown in the diagram.
Start the AR20 is made by turning the on/off switch to the right, as shown in the image. Once the switch has been turned on you can hear the compressor working, and if you do not hear anything it is because it is not working. This may be due to a faulty electric connection in the AR20.
The compressor should not be started with internal pressure as this may cause serious damage to the equipment. To purge this pressure, keep the TEGRAS equipment running on compressed air when the compressor is turned off.
When the compressor is working and loaded, the oil level must be around the half-way mark of the indicator. If this level is too low, top it up with the appropriate oil supplied by TEINNOVA.

6 Stopping the AR20:
Turn off the AR20 when the work is finished and unplug it. Stop the AR20 by turning the on/off switch to the left, as shown in the diagram.
Remove the AR20 from the mains by turning the blue connector to the left and pulling it out as shown in the image.

Compressed air generator

19-30

transport
The machine has been designed to be transported in a small van. When transporting the machine it should be firmly tied in order to prevent any type of damage. Additionally, it should be placed in its normal working position (vertical) and the front wheel brakes should be on. Placing the machine on a transport pallet or anything similar is not advised. The machine must be placed on a completely flat and horizontal surface.
The machine must be transported in its working position. Never on this side.

Compressed air generator

20-30

maintenance and care

Keep the machine as clean as possible. Keep the equipment somewhere that is protected from the weather.

When work has finished, remember to purge the internal pressure of the compressor The AR20 compressed air generator must not be started while there is internal pressure as it may seriously damage the machine.

DO NOT use flammable liquids or products not approved under current legislation to clean the AR20 compressed air generator.

The AR20 has a safety system which stops the compressor when the interior temperature is higher than the optimal value for operation. This safety system consists of two temperature sensors, one located in the motor area and another near the compressor. If either of these sensors detects a temperature that is too high to operate with, the compressor will stop so that no component is damaged. Once this happens, the machine must cool down before being used again.
The oil, filters, O-rings, oil and water separator and oil return valve must all be changed after 5000 hours of work, or a year and a half. This general revision should be carried out by the technical service of Teinnova. Besides this general revision, the oil le vel must be checked weekly, the intake filter cleaned every month and the electrical installation tested every six months.

Compressed air generator

21-30

maintenance and care
Maintenance operations:
1 Lubrication of the AR20
Use only the amount of lubricant needed for the AR20, because the machine can be damaged by using too much or too little lubricant. Carefully clean any oil or grease left over after lubrication. The oil must be changed when the machine is warm and the compressor is completely depressurized. The oil must be at a temperature between 25º and 30º. Check that the pressure gauge indicates that there is no inner pressure to ensure that the machine has depressurized successfully.

The lubricant recommended by TEINNOVA for the AR20 is ROTOROIL 8000 F2, for its tried and tested quality.

Level oil indicator

After changing the oil, replace the seals shown in the diagram and replace the tap on the filling intake and the discharge valve as quickly as possible. This must be done quickly to prevent dust or particles entering the main parts of the machine, which may cause damage when it is running.

maintenance and care
2 Cleaning and/or replacing the air filter:
Loosen the locking bolts and remove the cover in order to clean or replace the air filter of the AR20. Once the filter cartridge is accessible, as in the second image, remove it for replacement or cleaning. It should be changed after 5000 hours of work or earlier if it is in bad condition.
Obstruction of the filter will increase the electricity consumed by the machine and cause failure of mechanical parts due to poor cooling.

The filter should be cleaned with compressed air, directing the jet from the inside of the cartridge. Once the cartridge has been cleaned or replaced, clean the housing and the cover of the filter, ensuring that dirt does not enter the aspiration intake. Finally, tighten the locking bolts.

maintenance and care
3 Cleaning and/or replacing the return valve:
Loosen the locking bolts and remove the aspiration cover in order to clean or replace the return valve of the AR20. Once the oil tank is accessible, loosen the return valve of oil 2 and remove the sintered filter. 3 If the sintered filter has hard encrusted dirt, it should be replaced.
Replace the O-rings 1 when carrying out this maintenance task 1 as shown in the second image.
1

Clean the valves by washing them in mild detergent then using compressed air to remove any remaining dirt. Aim the jet of compressed air directly at the valves. After cleaning or replacing the parts, install them in their places and finally put the aspiration cover back on and tighten the locking bolts. Carry out the steps indicated as shown in the image.

4 Replacing the air-oil separator:
Loosen the locking bolts and remove the aspiration cover in order to replace the return valve of the AR20. Once the air-oil separator is accessible 2 , extract it and replace it with a new one. The longitudinal seal of the separator must be oriented towards the inside of the compressor.
1
2
Once the air-oil separator has been replaced, install the different parts, taking special care to ensure that the O-rings
1 are perfectly positioned in their corresponding housings. Applying a film of grease can help to keep them in place during assembly. Finally put the aspiration cover back on and tighten the locking bolts.
