ADD OFFROAD R181231280103 Stealth Fighter Rear Bumper
Product Information:
This product is the ADD Stealth FighterTM Rear Bumper, designed for
installation on vehicles. It is a durable and stylish rear bumper that offers
protection and functionality. The bumper comes with all the necessary hardware
and accessories for installation. Preparation:
- This installation requires 2 people for best results.
- Tools needed: Ratchet, 9/16 Socket or Wrench, Angle Grinder, 13mm Socket, 7/32 Allen Wrench or Allen Socket, Black Paint.
- Included in Kit: 2 Extra Long U-Nuts (3/8-16), 2 Fender Washers (3/8), 4 Black Washers (3/8).
Removal:
-
Remove your license plate.
-
Twist your license plate light sockets free from the license plate light lenses. Then, remove the lenses from your bumper.

Unplug the connector on the back side of the trailer plug.
Then, remove the trailer plug from the OEM bumper. -
Remove the spare tire access lock by turning the key to the unlocked position and pulling the assembly outwards.

Remove your parking sensors from their outer mounting rings.
-
Pull the center plastic piece off the OEM bumper.

Remove the license plate structure from the rear hitch.
Installation:
-
If you have any lights to install on your bumper, do so now.
Please follow the light manufacturer’s guide for mounting/wiring information. -
Install the supplied 3/8 U-Nuts on the upper mounting holes of your new bumper.

Set your new bumper in place on the vehicle. Install the supplied 3/8 Grade 8 Bolts and 3/8 Washers in the back side of the upper mounting holes. Then, use the supplied 3/8 Black Button Head Bolts, 3/8 Black Washers, and 3/8 Black Nylon Lock Nuts on the lower mounting bolts. Leave all bolts loose for now.

Trim as needed for proper fitment.

Press the parking sensors into their mounting rings from the back side. Make sure they are in the same order as they were on your OEM bumper. Inner sensors should face inwards.

Twist your license plate light sockets into the license plate light lenses. The license plate lights should point towards the light tab as shown.

Install your spare tire access lock onto your new bumper by reversing Step 4.

Stand back and enjoy your new ADD Stealth FighterTM Rear Bumper.

Check and re-tighten, if needed, all mounting bolts after 100 miles and periodically thereafter.

Stealth Fighter™ Rear Bumper Installation Instructions
Preparation:
Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Park the vehicle on level ground and set the emergency brake.
- We recommend reading through the installation instructions in whole before performing the work.
- Estimated Installation Time: 2 Hours
This installation requires 2 people for best results**
You will need the following tools
- Rat chet
- 9/16″ Socket or Wrench
- Angle Grinder
- 13mm Socket
- 7/32″ Allen Wrench or Allen Socket
- Black Paint
Included in Kit
- 2 – Extra Long U-Nuts (3/8”-16)
- 2 – Fender Washers (3/8”)
- 4 – Black Washers (3/8”)
- 2 – Grade 8 Bolts (3/8”-16 x 1 1/2″)
- 2 – Black Button Head Bolts (3/8”-16 x 1″)
- 2 – Black Nylon Lock Nuts (3/8”-16)
Removal
-
Remove your license plate.
-
Twist your license plate light sockets free from the license plate light lenses. Then, remove the lenses from your bumper.

Unplug the connector on the back side of the trailer plug. Then, remove the trailer plug from the OEM bumper. Do this by pressing in the two tabs on the back side of the plug, then pushing the plug out the front of the bumper.

Remove the spare tire access lock by turning the key to the unlocked position and pulling the assembly out-wards.

Remove your parking sensors from their outer mounting rings. Do this by spreading the two tabs on the back side of the rings. Then, push the sensors out the back side of the rings. Make sure to keep track of where each sensor came from so they can be installed in the same position on your new bumper. (Fig A)

Remove the sensor mounting rings from your bumper. Do this by pressing in the two tabs on the back side of the mounting ring, then pushing these rings out the front side of the bumper. Keep track of how these came off your bumper so they can go on your new bumper in the same position and order. (Fig B)

Pull the center plastic piece off the OEM bumper. There are no tools required for this step, it simply pulls off by hand. (Fig C)

Using a 13mm Socket, remove the bumper side pod mounting bolts (5 per side). Then, remove the bumper side pods. (Fig D)

Remove the license plate structure from the rear hitch. Do this by grinding off the five welds shown in (Fig E). Then, make sure to paint over any bare metal.
Installation -
If you have any lights to install on your bumper, do so now. Please follow the light manufacturer’s guide for mounting/wiring information.

Install the supplied 3/8″ U-Nuts (x2) on the upper mounting holes of your new bumper. (Fig F)

Set your new bumper in place on the vehicle. Install the supplied 3/8″ Grade 8 Bolts (x2) and 3/8″ Washers (x2) in the back side of the upper mounting holes. Then, use the supplied 3/8″ Black Button Head Bolts (x2), 3/8″ Black Washers (x4), and 3/8″ Black Nylon Lock Nuts (x2) on the lower mounting bolts. Leave all bolts loose for now. (Fig G)

Align your bumper so that it is centered left to right and straight in relation to your tailgate. Then, tighten the supplied mounting bolts to 30 foot pounds.

Press the parking sensor mounting rings into their precut holes in the bumper. If the mounting rings do not click into place, you may have to trim the tabs on the back side of the rings. Make sure to mount these rings in the same order and position they were in on your OEM bumper. (Fig H)

Press the parkings sensors into their mounting rings from the back side. Make sure they are in the same order as they were on your OEM bumper (Fig I). (Inner sensors should face inwards)

Press the trailer plug into its precut hole on the new bumper. Then, reinstall the connector on the back side.

Install the license plate light lenses by pressing them into their precut holes on the bumper. If your lenses do not click into place, you will have to trim the tabs on the back side of the lens as shown in (Fig I).

Twist your license plate light sockets into the license plate light lenses.(Fig K) (The license plate lights should point towards the light tab as shown)

Install your spare tire access lock onto your new bumper by reversing Step 4.

Stand back and enjoy your new ADD Stealth Fighter™ Rear Bumper.

Check and re-tighten, if needed, all mounting bolts after 100 miles and periodically thereafter.
