Product Information

The Stealth Fighter Full Length Front Bumper is designed for the 18+ Jeep JL model. It is a durable and stylish bumper that enhances the look of your Jeep while providing excellent protection. The installation of this bumper requires intermediate skill level and the assistance of two people for best results. The installation process includes removing the OEM bumper, wiring lights (if applicable), and mounting the new bumper. The kit includes all necessary hardware and a Universal Light Mount Kit.

Preparation

We recommend reading through the installation instructions in whole before performing the work.

• Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Park the vehicle on level ground and set the emergency brake.
• When button head bolts are being used, install the supplied washer on the nut side. Then, hold the bolt stationary and only turn the nut to tighten. Do not turn the bolt to tighten hardware assembly, unless otherwise noted.
• Anti-seize is recommended for all fasteners

• 2 hours for OEM Removal/Bumper Install
• 1 Additional Hour to Wire Lights

Labor Rates are based on a vehicle with no pre-existing damage. Wiring labor is based on a standard wiring procedure with light switches installed in an easily accessible location. Custom light triggering or switch mounting location will result in a greater labor charge.

Included in Kit

• 6 Hex Head Bolts (3/8-16 x 1)
• 6 Flat Washers (3/8)
• 6 U-Nuts (3/8-16)
• 2 Button Head Bolts (1/2-13 x 1 1/2)
• 2 Flat Washers (1/2)
• 2 Nylon Lock Nuts (1/2-13)
• 1 Universal Light Mount Kit

Tools Required

• Sockets: 9/16, 3/4, 13mm, 16mm, 18mm
• Box end wrenches: 9/16, 3/4, 13mm, 16mm, 18mm
• Allen wrenches: 5/16
• Fastener remover or flathead screwdriver
• Zip ties
• Ratchet
• 1/2 Drill Bit
• Drill
• Black Paint
• Jig Saw

Removal

Step 1
Remove the two plastic clips on the top of the bumper.

Step 2
If your Jeep has 6 additional clips on the front lip of the plastic bumper cover, remove those clips. Then, pull the plastic cover off the vehicle and unplug the front bumper harness located along the passenger side frame rail .

Step 3
Use a 13mm socket to remove both lower skid plate bolts. Then, using an 18mm socket, remove the bumper mounting bolts (4 per side). Remove the bumper from the vehicle.

Step 4
Using a 16mm socket, remove the specified bolts and remove the skid mounting plate. If your Jeep does not have this plate, skip this step. Optionally, cut the frame stilts just below the sway bar mounts and paint over any bare metal once finished.

STEP 5
If you have any lights or a winch to install on your bumper, now is a good time to do so. Please follow the light/winch manufacturer’s guide for mounting/wiring information.
Use the supplied Light Mount Kit that came with the bumper to mount your lights. Installation instructions for our light mount kit can be found here: https://www.addictivedesertdesigns.com/files/install/ADD-Universal-Light- Mount-Kit-Installation-Instructions.pdf.

STEP: 6
Set the supplied U-Nuts (x6) in place on your new bumper. Then drill the lower/outer bumper mounting holes to 1/2”. Make sure to paint over any bare metal once you are finished.

STEP: 7
Set the bumper into place on the vehicle. Install the supplied 3/8” bolts, and washers in the 6 mounting holes located on the inside and top outer corners of the frame horns. Then, install the supplied 1/2” button head bolts, washers, and nylon lock nuts into the outer/lower mounting holes.

STEP:1
Stand back and enjoy your new ADD Stealth Fighter Full Length™ Front Bumper. Check and re-tighten, if needed, all mounting bolts after 100 miles and periodically thereafter.
