Product Information

The Covet Large Chandelier is a light fixture designed to be installed in accordance with applicable local installation codes. It comes with bulbs included and is identified by the item number KW 5115. The chandelier should be inspected for any damage or defects before installation. It is recommended to retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved. The chandelier requires the use of tools such as a Phillips screwdriver, slotted screwdriver, wire cutters, wire strippers, pencil, drill, measuring tape, and hammer. Two persons are required for the assembly process.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.
  2. Detach the mounting plate (C) from the canopy (G) by removing the collar ring (H).
  3. Align the mounting plate (C) with the junction box and mark the anchor positions using it as a guide.
  4. Drill holes in the marked positions using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor size. Install anchors (B) into the holes.
  5. Attach the mounting plate (C) to the junction box and secure it with mounting screws (F). Then secure screws (D) to anchors (B).
  6. Thread the electrical wire, ground wire, and support cable through rods (K) and connect them to the fixture body (L).
  7. Continue feeding wires through collar ring (H), canopy (G), and top rod (I).
  8. With the help of a helper, slide collar ring (H) and canopy (G) down to rest on fixture body (L). Connect rod (I) to rod (K).
  9. Hang the fixture to the center of the mounting plate (C).
  10. Run the support cable through the hole on the back of the mounting plate (C). Loosen the cable lock and install it to the end of the support cable. Insert the other end of the cable through the cable lock and tighten it with a screwdriver to secure.
  11. Cut excess wires, leaving enough to reach the junction box.
  12. Separate the two sides of the molded wire and strip insulation on each side by 5/8 inch.
  13. Wrap the fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding.

Care Instructions

To clean the Covet Large Chandelier, use only a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Avoid using abrasive or chemical agents.

Unpacking Notice

When unpacking the Covet Large Chandelier, follow the instructions below to avoid possible damages caused by improper removal:

  1. Open the box and remove the top layer of packaging.
  2. Lift the item frame evenly in areas indicated by arrows until clear of packaging. Place it on a clean, soft surface. Remove slowly to avoid damages.

Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

  2. Remove mounting plate (C) from canopy (G) by removing collar ring (H).

  3. Using the mounting plate (C) as a guide, line up with the junction box and mark anchor positions.

  4. Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the marked positions. Install anchors (B) into the holes.

  5. Install mounting plate (C) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (F), then secure screws (D) to anchors (B).

  6. Feed electrical wire, ground wire and support cable through rods (K) and connect to fixture body (L).

  7. Continue feeding wires through collar ring (H), canopy (G) and top rod (I).
    NOTE: It is recommended to have a helper assist in supporting the fixture for step 8~9.

  8. Holding fixture upright, slide collar ring (H) and canopy (G) down and rest on fixture body (L). Then connect rod (I) to rod (K).
    NOTE: Slide components down slowly to avoid damages.

  9. Hang fixture to the center of mounting plate (C).

  10. Run support cable through hole on back of mounting plate (C). Loosen cable lock and install to end of support cable. Insert other end of cable through the cable lock and tighten ends with a screwdriver to secure. (see diagram 1)

  11. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave enough to reach the junction box.

  12. Separate two sides of molded wire, and strip insulation on each 5/8″.

  13. Wrap fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 2). Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (A).
    NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.

  14. Connect fixture neutral wire (ribbed) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).

  15. Connect fixture hot wire (smooth with markings) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
    CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

  16. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.

  17. Install canopy (G) to mounting plate (C) by securing with collar ring (H).

  18. Install light bulbs into the sockets.

  19. Install alabaster shades (N) to fixture (L) by securing with screws (M).
    Care Instructions: Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do not use abrasive or chemical agents.
