Product Information

The product is a diesel pump designed for pumping diesel or fuel oil. It is available in several models, including:

The pump is designed for pumping clean diesel/biodiesel or fuel oil only. It should not be used for pumping ignitable liquids like gasoline or kerosene, or in places where there is a risk of explosion. The pumped liquid should not contain abrasive components as this can reduce the pump’s lifespan.

Product Usage Instructions

Please follow these instructions for proper use and safety:

1. Before using the pump, read the user manual carefully.
2. Ensure the power plug is pulled before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
3. Observe warning signs and wear protective gloves when operating the pump.
4. Avoid using the pump in rainy or moist conditions.
5. Only use the pump in well-ventilated rooms or areas with sufficient fresh air.
6. Ensure the pump is placed on a flat surface and keep enough space from walls.
7. Place the diesel tank as close to the pump as possible.
8. Do not connect a hose longer than 5m with a 1-inch diameter on the pressure side. Use corresponding short hoses for smaller diameters.
9. If using a pump nozzle, make sure to switch off the pump immediately after closing the nozzle.
10. Installation must be performed by a qualified professional. Check electrical connections and cables for any damage before each use.
11. Do not modify the pump’s cables or perform cable extensions, as it may void the warranty.
12. Ensure the pump is adequately cooled during prolonged operation.

INTRODUCTION

We would like to congratulate you on the purchase of our pump. We appreciate your trust. That‘s why functional security and operational safety stands on first place for us.
To prevent damage to persons or property, you should read this user manual carefully. Please observe all safety precautions and instructions for proper use of the pump. Failure to follow the instructions and safety precautions can result in injury or property damage.
Please keep this manual with the instructions and safety instructions carefully in order to at any time you can restore them.

IN GENERAL

The pumps in the catagorie Centrifugal Pumps are developed according to the newest stand of technology, manufac-tured with much care and go under strict intensive controls – each pump is checked individually – rests of the check- fluid could be still inside the pump or on the package. The counter (if available) shows more than 0,0 Liter because of that (usually 5-12L). The pumps were optimized by us in particular for their special demands.
Make sure after unpacking the pump that the data given on the type label agree with the operating conditions. In the case of doubt the pump is not to be used. Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distrib utor and to us in witten form. By transport with DHL please contact your local DHL office within 7 days.

RANGES OF APPLICATION

These pumps are made for pumping diesel or fuel oil ONLY!

IMPORTANT!

• They are not suitable for pumping ignitable liquids like gasoline, kerosene, or for pumping at places where the danger of an explosion exists. When using the pump, make sure there are no open flames, lighters, matches, cigarettes or similar things present around you. When operating suitable protective gloves must be worn.
• These pumps are made for pumping clean diesel / biodiesel or fuel oil ONLY! The pumped liquid should not contain abrasive components. Abrasive components reduces pump life.

OPERATION

• The installation must be performed by a qualified professional.
• Please, check each time before using, the electrical connections and the cables are not damaged. Also, it is NOT recommended to perform, for example, a cable extension. It is not certain whether this modification is technically correct, so this warranty is void. It must be ensured that the pump is sufficiently cooled during prolonged operation.
• Diesel pumps are electrical products, which have to be protected against outer influences, f.e. caused by weather. Only use the pump in well-ventilated rooms and areas with enough fresh air. The floor, on which the pump may be used, should be flat. Please keep enough space from walls. Place the diesel-tank as near to the pump as possible.
• The specified suction lift is the maximum suction at optimal conditions. The suction line to the pump has to be steadily increasing. The pump and the suction pipe must be filled with diesel/fuel oil before turning „on“ the pump. Do not reduce the cross area of suction and discharge lines. Connect suction and discharge lines to the pump by means of reinforced metal hose. For stationary use please place the pump on rubber pads to reduce vibration transmission to and from the pump and thereby prevent damage caused. The suction and discharge line should be connected to to the pump in souch way, that no mechanical stress on the connections occure. For example, Fix lines by pipe clamps with rubber insert on the wall.
• CAUTION : Do not connect a hose more than 5m 1 inch on the pressure side. For smaller hose diameters, use corresponding short hoses. When using a pump nozzle, it is absolutely necessary to ensure that the pump is switched off immediately after the nozzle is closed. These measures must be adhered to in order to avoid damage of pumps.

Example installation with the diesel pump Exelenz

1. Connect all parts correctly and ensure outlet connections are in proper placement (Remark: oil suction pipe prepared by the user).
2. Apply power cord to the motor  by plugging the power cord into a power source. Turn on the pump by use the on/off swich.
3. Refuel as usual. ATTENTION! NOT ALL PUMP SETS CONTAIN A NOZZLE WITH AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF.
4. When fueling is complete, return the nozzle to its storage position and turn off the pump

ATTENTION!

1. Reset the meter (if present) to „0“ before each use to ensure proper measuring of each fueling job.
2. Do not leave the motor running, when not in operation.
3. Clean the fuel strainer regularly

SECURITY TIPS

• Obey absolutely valid regulations on the electrical security.

• When operating suitable protective gloves must be worn.

• Never run pump dry.

• Never run pump against pressure.

• Pumping inflammable, as well as all other aggressive liquids, except of diesel or fuel oil, is prohibited.

• Never pump liquid food products.

• Before usage, check on the tightness of the hose clamps.

• Pay attention to the max. liquid temperature of 35°C.

• Never pull the pump on the electrical cable or pressure hose.

• Disconnect the plug immediately from the power grid when the line has been damaged or severed.

• Switch off pump immediately after usage.

• Don’t move the pump in any way, while it’s running.

• During longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with diesel or fuel oil, dry and store it at room temperature.

• ALWAYS supervise and watch the pump, while using

• The electrical connections are always to be carried out by an authorised professional.

• The pump may be used by children aged 8 years and above as well as persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or those who lack skills, experience and knowledge only if they are supervised.
  These aforementioned persons should only use the appliance while adhering to safe instructions and resulting dangers.

• Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

• The pump must be protected from rain and moisture. The pump may only be operated in dry rooms. The ingress of water into the energized components of the pump increases the risk of electric shock.

THE MANUFACTURER EXPLAINS:

• To take over no responsibility in the case of accidents or damages on the basis of carelessness or disregard to the instructions in this user manual.
• To reject every responsibility for the damages which originate from the improper use of the pump.

SERVICING

Under normal pumping conditions the pump requires no servicing.
But it is important to keep the suctions and delivery sections perfectly clean and free from all clogging.
The following controls should be carried out regularly:

• Intactness of the electric cable
• That the connection hoses are not bent or broken
• Cleanness of the pump medium

Moreover, the pump should be emptied at risk of frost, be washed out with diesel/fuel oil and stored dry.

GUARANTEE REGULATIONS

For all manufacturing and material defects, the statutory warranty applies. In these cases we take the replacement or repair of the pump. Shipping costs shall not be borne by our company, except as required by law. Please report the warranty on our service platform http://www.profi-pumpe.de/service.php. We will inform you how to proceed with case-related. Please mark returns sufficient postage. Unfortunately not prepaid returns can not be accepted because they are filtered out before destination. We provide our service in Germany.

The warranty does not cover:

• Material wear (sealing rings, impeller wheels, impeller chambers)
• Unjustified interventions or changes in the pump
• Damages by selffault
• mproper servicing and improper use
• DRY RUNNIG (Also partially!) of the pump

Moreover, we give no damage compensation for secondary damages!

RECOGNISING AND REPAIRING OF MISTAKES

The pump won’t start

| No power supply| Check the clamps and safety devices
Impeller jammed| Check for signs of damage and clogging. Reassemble.
Motor malfunction| Contact your dealer.
The suction of the pump is not working| Leak in suction lines or connections| Check the suction pipe and all connections for tightness. Fill the suction hose and the pump. Suction hose must be laid in a con- stantly rising, so that air bubbles can escape towards the pump

Reduced flow

| Tank liquid level too low.| Fill up the tank.
By-pass valve jammed| Clean and re-assemble
Air in the suction tube| Make sure that the suction tube is not damaged
Filter clogged| Clean the filter.
Leakage of Diesel oil.| Check the connectors and gaskets.
The suction tube is resting on the bottom of the tank.| Raise the tube in the tank.
Excessive suction height.| Lower the level of the pump.

We are registered at the German registration department EAR under the WEEE-No. DE79535656. This symbol means, that you’re not allowed to treat this product as a regular household waste item – it has to be disposed at a recycling collection point of electrical devices.
