TAYAMA TRC-04 Automatic Rice Cooker

HOW TO USE

  1. Using the measuring cup provided in the package, measure and add rice to the inner pot.
  2. By measuring the cup, the ratio amount of water to the rice inside the inner pot according to the following standard;
    • Cups of Raw Rice Water add to the line on the pot
    • 15 cups 15-15 1/2 cups
    • 14 cups 14-14 1/2 cups
    • 12 cups 12-12 1/2 cups
    • 10 cups 11-11 1/2 cups
    • 8 cups 9-9 1/2 cups
    • 6 cups 7-7 1/2 cups
    • 4 cups 5-5 1/2 cups
    • 2cups 3-3 1/2 cups
  3. Set inner pot in cooker. Place rice and water in inner pot. Turn pan gently to the right and left. Close the cover firmly.
  4. Do not plug in until ready to cook. Otherwise, rice may be spoiled. If pot is not in cooker, cooking will not begin.
  5. Press switch. “Cook” indicator tells you cooking has started.
  6. When rice is done, the switch will pop up. After the switch pops up, leave covered for at least 1 5 minutes to steam rice.
  7. Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.
  8. When you stew, the water level should not exceed 70% of the volume.
  9. Do not detach the ventilating hole for fear of scalding.

  • DO NOT USE any attachments or utensils that were not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer. The use of attachments not recommended for use by the manufacturer may cause serious hazardous situations, including personal injury.
  • DO NOT USE outdoors.
  • DO NOT LET Power Cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
  • DO NOT PLACE on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
  • EXTREME CAUTION must be used when moving an appliance containing hot contents.
  • DO NOT USE appliances for anything other than its intended use.
  • This appliance cook using extreme heat. Improper use MAY RESULT IN scalding injury.
  • This appliance has been designed for use with a 120V electrical outlet only. DO NOT USE any other electrical outlet.
  • The Unit generates high heat and steam during operation. All necessary precautions MUST BE TAKEN TO AVOID fire, burns, and other personal injury during operation.
  • NEVER OPERATE the unit near any flammable materials, such as dish towels, paper towels, curtains, or paper plates.
  • Always plug the Power Cord directly into the wall outlet. NEVER USE this Unit with an extension cord of any kind. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  • Anyone who has not fully read and understood all operating and safety instructions contained in this manual is NOT QUALIFIED TO OPERATE or clean this appliance.
  • If this Unit falls or accidentally becomes immersed in water, unplug it from the wall outlet immediately. DO NOT REACH into the water!
  • DO NOT OPERATE this appliance on an unstable surface.
  • If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately unplug the Cord. DO NOT USË or attempt to repair a malfunctioning appliance!
  • If the appliance has a POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other): This plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact an electrician. DO NOT attempt to modify the plug.

Caution
Hot surfaces: This appliance generates heat and escaping steam during use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of personal injury, fires, and damage to property.

Electric Power
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It should be operated on a dedicated electrical circuit.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE

Carefully unpack the rice cooker and remove any packaging materials. To remove any dust that may have accumulated during packaging, wash the rice bowl, lid, measuring cup, steaming basket and spatula in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleansers on any part of the rice cooker.
CAUTION: Do not immerse the base, cord or plug in water or other liquid.
