INSTRUCTION MANUAL
For correct operation, please read the instruction manual carefully before using.

PREPARATION FOR FIRST USE:

  1. Check to make sure the appliance is not damaged. In case of any damage, contact your supplier immediately and do not use the appliance.
  2. Remove all packaging material.
  3. Clean the pot and glass lid with warm water and mild washing liquid. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Position the appliance in such a way that the plug is accessible at all times.

USAGE

  1. Before each operation, check if there are any articles on the surface of the heating plate. Remove if there are any. Ensure the surface of the heating plate is clean and dry.

  2. Place the pot on the heating base. Turn right and left to ensure it is level and resting in the middle of the heater. Add soup (water) into the pot and cover the lid.

  3. Turn the switch dial to the “OFF” position, and then insert the plug fully into the socket.

  4. Turn the dial to the “HIGH” position, the light is on to indicate that the appliance is working with full power.
    NOTE: After the water or soup is boiling, turn the dial counter-clockwise to the position from “MEDIUM” to °LOW”. The indicating light will be off once the water temperature reaches the preset degree. The light will be on again to indicate the resumption of the heating process when the water temperature falls below the preset level.

  5. Add the food to the pot as soon as the water or soup starts to boil. 6. After using, turn the dial counter-clockwise to the end position “OFF” to ensure the power is off.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

a) Before cleaning the appliance, make sure you remove the plug from the main socket. ATTENTION: Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
b) Clean the pot and glass lid with water and a sponge.
c) Wipe clean the heating base with a damp cloth. Do not wash the heating base in water.
d) Dry well before storage.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Dear Customer: Please read these instructions carefully before connecting the appliance in order to prevent damage due to incorrect use.
Read the below instructions carefully.

  1. Ensure that the local voltage fits the appliance and the socket must be earthed.
  2. Make sure the appliance and the plug do not come into contact with water or any other liquid. Should the appliance be dropped in water accidentally, remove the plug from the electrical socket immediately and have the appliance checked by a certified professional? Non-compliance with this may result in peril to life.
  3. To prevent electrical shock, do not immerse the appliance, plug, or power cord into water or any other liquids.
  4. Never switch on the appliance with an empty pan on top of it as this may result in serious damage to the appliance.
  5. Operate the appliance in a flat and dry place.
  6. Always insert the power inlet into the appliance first, then plug in the wall outlet. Unplug from the outlet completely when not in use or before cleaning.
  7.  Make sure the outer surface of the pot and the heater is clean and dry before plugging in.
  8. Make sure the pot is level. resting in the middle of the heater and touching the heating plate before cooking.
  9. Do not place objects covering, touching, or near to the hot steam vent on the glass lid while cooking.
  10. The appliance is only used for the purpose it was designed for.
  11. Do not put the pot on any other stove to heat.
  12. Do not touch any surfaces when hot.
  13. Not for outdoor use.
  14. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  15. Close supervision is required when this appliance is used by children.
  16. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination and repair.
  17. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or counter where it can cause people to trip over it.
  18. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  19. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  20. It is normal for smoke or smell to be emitted during first use.TAYAMA logo
