INTRODUCTION
We would like to congratulate you on the purchase of our pump. We appreciate
your trust. That‘s why funtional security and operational safety stands by us
on first place.
To prevent damage to persons or property, you should read this user manual
carefully. Please observe all safety precautions and instructions for proper
use of the pump. Failure to follow the instructions and safety precautions can
result in injury or property damage.
Please keep this manual with the instructions and safety instructions
carefully in order to at any time you can restore them. Please always download
the latest version of the user manual of www. profi-
pumpe.de under „downloads“. This shall always prevail.
IN GENERAL
The pumps in the catagorie Centrifugal Pumps are developed according to the
newest stand of technology, manufactured with much care and go under strict
intensive controls.
The pumps were optimised by us in particular for their special demands. Make
sure after unpacking the pump that the data given on the type label agree with
the included operating instructions. In the case of doubt the pump is not to
be used. Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package
distributor and to us in witten form.
RANGES OF APPLICATION
These pumps are made for pumping clear water (free of mud and sand, see technical data)
The pumps are made for the following ranges of application:
- For rainwater use in house and garden l For deep well water supply
- Pumping water from a brook a stream l For automatic irrigation
- For house water supply / Pressure increase
IMPORTANT!
The pumps are designed for pumping clean water and chemically non-aggressive
liquids. Any guarantee is void in case of improper use. They are not suitable
for pumping flammable liquids or for use in places where there is danger of an
explosion. The pumps are designed for home use in the house and garden.
The pumps are designed for continuous operation for professional work. In
continuous operation mode, the lifetime will be shortened accordingly. Never
run more than 5 minutes against a closed valve pump. Never start and stop
the pump more than 20 times per hour. When the pump clocks, any claim under
warranty is void.
Not suitable for use with solar photovoltaic panels
OPERATION
The installation must be performed by a qualified professional.
Please, check each time before using, the electrical connections and the cables are not damaged. Check before the installation whether the electrical connections are earthed according to the statutory regulations and are installed. The pump is to be secured through a RCD circuit breaker with release current of 30 mA. is technically correct, so this warranty is void. It must be ensured that the pump is sufficiently cooled during pro- longed operation. If the suction height is greater than 4m or the suction length is more than 9m, please make the suction line 1 1/4 „(about 32mm) or 1 1/2“ (about 38mm) instead of 25mm.It is not recommended to perform even cable extensions or any other technical modifications. The lines to the pump must be installed always steadily rising. A transfer of mechanical loads or vibrations from the pump or to the pump must be eliminated through appropriate actions (use of rubber buffers, braided hoses, line fixation, etc.). If the suction height is greater than 4m or the suction length is greater than 9m, please make the suction line in 1 1/4“ (approx. 32mm) or 1 1/2“ (approx. 38mm) instead of 25mm. Do not reduce the suction line. Please install at the end of the suction line always a check valve, if necessary with floating inlet (at use of rainwater this is mandatory). All pipe/hose connections to and from the pump must be sealed (e.g. Teflon tape or sealing cord – no hemp! ). We recommend that you implement the suction line „as one piece“ without any interruption in order to prevent and avoid leaks. check valve and test water pipes for leaks by means of a pressure test for at least 24 hours. Is dirt expected in the pump, an effective pre-filter should be installed before the pump inlet. Fill pump and suction pipe/hose with water. Please connect electrically pump with power supply. Start the pump. If necessary, the pump and the suction line must be refilled until a normal continuous operation has been established. If the pump is used outdoors, it must be protected against direct sunlight (risk of overheating) and rain (risk of short circuit).
INSTALLATION SCHEME
The diameter of the pipes to be connected should correspond to the pump
connections.
Otherwise, additional noise, negative pressure, etc. may occur. The inlet
pressure should be at least 0.3 bar lower than the start pressure of the pump
OPERATION MANUAL
After the pump has been properly connected (suction and pressure lines connected, electrical connection establis- hed), the pump should be in the „AUTOMATIC“ operating mode. If this is not the case, press the „AUTO / TANK“ button for longer than 5 seconds until the „AUTOMATIC“ indicator lights up. In this mode, the pump starts automa- tically when the tap is opened. After closing the tap, the pump also stops automatically after approx.15 seconds.
Automatic mode:
The indicator (4) is on. The indicator (2) lights up when water is being
pumped. When the tap is half-open, indicators (2) and (3) light up. After
closing the water tap, the pump stops automatically after waiting for approx.
15 seconds. The display (3) is „ON“ and the display (2) is „OFF“. After
opening the water tap, the line
pressure drops and the display (3) goes out (set target pressure has been
undercut), the pump starts automatically and the display (2) lights up. If the
water supply to the pump is disturbed (e.g. due to a lack of water), the pump
goes into dry-running protection mode. In this case, the displays (2) and (3)
are „OFF“. After about 6 minutes of operation, the pump is automatically
switched off to prevent pump damage, the display (4) flashes. In dry-running
protection mode, the pump checks automatically at time intervals of 1, 5, 6, 8
and 12 hours whether there is enough water, and the pump is switched on for a
short time. If there is enough water and the set pressure can be built up, the
pump automatically switches back to normal operation. If there is still not
enough water in the suction line after 12 hours, the pump is switched off and
must be started manually by the customer.
Water tank mode:
This mode is used for filling a water storage tank with the additional
protection against water loss or overflow of the tank due to a dripping /
leaking floating valve. The pump is connected to the water tank on the
pressure side. A mechanical floating valve must be installed in the water tank
(p.9 fig.3) and adjusted to the desired maximum water level. We recommend for
the tank installation the floating valve with the art. No. A373. To enter
water tank mode (fig.4), press button (1) for more than 5 seconds and one of
the water tank indicators (5), (6), (7) or (8) will light up. Press button (1)
to select the pump‘s operating cycle between 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours.
The pump stops automatically when the water level reaches the maximum float
position in the water tank and the water supply in the tank is interrupted by
the float valve. Depending on the selected working cycle (5), (6), (7) or (8),
the pump will only start up again and fill the water tank after the selected
time (3/6/12/24 hrs.) has elapsed. If the pump should be reset to automatic
mode, press button (1) for longer than 5 seconds in water tank mode

SETTING THE ON AND OFF PRESSURE
Set the automatic mode. After opening the tap, the pump should start
automatically and stop when the tap is closed. If the pump does not stop
within approx. 15 seconds, turn the pressure regulator a little bit counter-
clockwise in direction (-) until the pump stops. Open the water tap and check
the function several times until the wanted function has been achieved.
If the water tap is closed and the pump starts to cycle, check all lines,
tapping points and the non-return valve on the suction side for leaks and
eliminate the leaks.
If the pump stops by itself during operation and starts again even though the
tap is open, turn the pressure regulator a little bit clockwise in the
direction (+) until the pump works without interruption.
The setting of the pressure regulator is located above the fan wheel of the
pump (fig.5). The pressure regulator itself is located inside the pump, not
accessible from the outside (fig. 6).
SECURITY TIPS
- Obey absolutely valid regulations on the electrical security
- Never run pump dry
- Pumping inflammable, as well as all other aggressive liquids is prohibited
- Pay attention to the medium temperature 90°C
- Never pull the pump on the electrical cable or pressure hose
- Avoid cross section narrowing
- Pay attention to the given particle size
- During longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with clear water, dry and store it at room temperature
- Test wells for enough flowing water (dry run danger)
- The pump is to be secured through a RCD circuit breaker with a release current of 30
- The electrical connections are always to be carried out by an authorised professional
- Operation can not be performed by children and young people under 16 and people with intellectual disabilities

SERVICING
Under normal pumping conditions the pump requires no servicing. From an
operating period (with clear water) of approx. 2000 hours the mechanical
components should be checked: impeller wheels, chambers, sealing rings etc. on
wear and if necessary be changed. After 3000 pumping hours the oil in the
chamber should also be changed, if necessary (only with oil-dipped engine
types!). Please, only fill it up to 80% and check the sealing rings always for
density.
With abrasive materials like sand the servicing duration can become shorter.
The following controls should be carried out regularly:
- Intactness of the electric cable
- That the connection hoses are not bent or broken
- Cleanness of the pump medium
Moreover, the pump should be emptied with risk of frost, be washed out with clear water and stored dry.
