CONNECT YOUR MK650

There are two ways to connect your keyboard and mouse to your device.

  • Option 1: Through Logi Bolt receiver
  • Option 2: Through direct Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) connection*

Note: *For ChromeOS users, we recommend connecting to your device only through BLE (Option 2). A dongle connectivity will bring experience limitations.

To pair through Logi Bolt receiver:

STEP 1: Take the Logi Bolt receiver from the packaging tray that was holding your keyboard and mouse.

IMPORTANT: Don’t remove the pull-tabs from your keyboard and mouse yet.

STEP 2: Insert the receiver into any available USB port on your desktop or laptop.

STEP 3: Now you can remove the pull-tabs from both keyboard and mouse. They will automatically turn on.

The receiver should be successfully connected to your device when the white LED stops blinking:

  • Keyboard: on the connect key
  • Mouse: at the bottom

STEP 4:

Set the right keyboard layout for your computer operating system:

Long press for 3 seconds the following shortcuts to set it up for Windows, macOS or ChromeOS.

  • Windows: Fn + P
  • macOS: Fn + O
  • ChromeOS: Fn + C

IMPORTANT: Windows is the default OS layout. If you are using a Windows computer you can skip this step. Your keyboard and mouse are now ready to use.

To pair through Bluetooth®:

STEP 1: Remove the pull-tab from both keyboard and mouse. They will automatically turn on.

A white LED on your devices will start blinking:

  • Keyboard: on the connect key
  • Mouse: at the bottom

STEP 2: Open the Bluetooth® settings on your device. Add a new peripheral by selecting both your keyboard (K650B) and your mouse (M650B) from your list of devices. Your keyboard and mouse will be paired once the LEDs stop blinking.

STEP 3: Your computer will require you to input a random set of numbers, please type them all and press the “Enter” key on your keyboard K650. Your keyboard and mouse are now ready to use.

DONGLE COMPARTMENT

If you are not using your Logi Bolt USB receiver, you can safely store it inside your keyboard or mouse. To store it on your keyboard:

  • STEP 1: Remove the battery door from the bottom side of your keyboard.
  • STEP 2: The dongle compartment is located on the right side of the batteries.
  • STEP 3: Place your Logi Bolt receiver in the compartment and slide it to the right side of the compartment to secure it tight.

To store it on your mouse:

  • STEP 1: Remove the battery door from the bottom side of your mouse.
  • STEP 2: The dongle compartment is located on the left side of the battery. Slide your dongle vertically inside the compartment.

Most of these keys work without the need of installing software (Logitech Options+), except for:

  • Mute Microphone key: Install Logitech Options+ for it to work on Windows and macOS; works out of the box on ChromeOS
  • Close browser tab key, Settings key and Calculator key: Install Logitech Options+ for it to work on macOS; works out of the box on Windows and ChromeOS
  1. 1 For Windows: Dictation key needs Logi Options+ installed to work on Korean. For macOS: Dictation key needs Logi Options+ installed to work on Macbook Air M1 and 2022 Macbook Pro (M1 Pro and M1 Max chip).
  2. 2 For Windows: Emoji key needs Logi Options+ software installed for France, Turkey, and Begium keyboard layouts.
  3. 3 Free Logi Options+ software is required to enable the function.
  4. 4 For macOS: Screen lock key needs Logi Options+ installed for France keyboard layouts.

MULTI-OS KEYBOARD

Your keyboard is designed to work with multiple operating systems (OS): Windows, macOS, ChromeOS.

FOR WINDOWS and macOS KEYBOARD LAYOUT

  • If you are a macOS user, the special characters and keys will be on the left side of the keys
  • If you are a Windows, user, the special characters will be on the right side of the key:

FOR ChromeOS KEYBOARD LAYOUT

  • If you are a Chrome user, you will find one dedicated Chrome function, Launcher key, on top of the start key. Make sure you have selected the ChromeOS layout (FN+C) when you connect your keyboard.

Note: For ChromeOS users, we recommend connecting to your device only through BLE.

BATTERY STATUS NOTIFICATION

  • When the battery level is between 6% to 100%, the LED color will stay green.
  • When the battery level is below 6% (from 5% and below), the LED will turn into red. You can continue using your device for up to 1 month when the battery is low.
    Note: Battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions
