MSIMEDITII SIM Editor Software – [Download Zip ]
Introduction :
SimEditor is a tool for restore, backup and edit the Phone Numbers and Short Messages records of SIM Card. It must be used with SimEditor Product developed by Kooner Technology (H.K.) Co., Ltd.
System Requirements:
Minimum Requirement:
- Pentium II or higher
- 64MB RAM
- 50 MB Hard Disk Space
- Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98
- A free USB port ( USB 1.1 compatible )
Getting Started :
1. After the installation of SimEditor, you could find the following icon on
your Windows Desktop.
2. Double click on it and run the SimEditor Application.
3. Plug the SimEditor USB device on your computer USB Port.
4. You would see the “USB Connected” label at the bottom of the Application
Interface now.

Sim Card Reading and Writing :
If you see the following picture, it means Sim Card is reading or writing
Phone Numbers Direct Edit :
Important Note :
Do not pull out the SimEditor USS Device from your computer port during reading or writing process, it may causes data lost
Main Menu :
• Your Sim Card would be locked itself after inputing wrong pin code for three
times.
• Please contact your Sim Card provider if your card has been locked.
1. Name list
The list of all phone number records.
2. Total phone records / Maximum phone records
Total phone records – total phone records stored in your Sim Card .
Maximum phone records – maximum phone records that your Sim Card can be stored
.
3. Name input bar.
The name of selected record.
4. Total characters of name / Maximum characters of name
Total characters of name – total characters of selected name.
Maximum characters of name – maximum characters of selected name.
5. Tel input bar.
The phone number of selected record.
6. Function Keys
Clear – to clear the “Name” & “Tel “shown on the input bars.
Add – to type the name and telephone number on the input bars as a new phone
record.
Modify – to modify the selected record with new content typed on input bars .
Delete – to remove the selected record.
7. Refresh
Read all the records in Sim Card again.
8. Status
Result of your action.
9. Working Section
Showing what is your current working section.
SMS Direct Edit :
1. SMS list
The list of all SMS records.
2. Total SMS records / Maximum SMS records
Total SMS records – total SMS records in your Sim Card.
Maximum SMS records – maximum SMS records that your Sim Card can be stored.
3. Sort type
Sort type of SMS list
4. Status
SMS record status – read, unread or save
5. Sender Tel
SMS Sender’s Telephone number
6. Sender Name
Sender name found in Phone Number records list.
It would be empty if cannot find the phone number in Phone Number records
list.
7. Message
Message content of selected record.
8. Remaining characters
Remaining characters of message content.
9. Date
The date of message received.
10. Time
The time of message received.
11. Function Keys
Clear – to clear Sender Tel and Message input.
Add – to add Sender Tel, Message, Date, Time and Status input to a new record.
Modify – to modify the selected record with new input of Sender, Tel, Message,
Date, Time & Status.
Delete – to remove the selected record.
12. Refresh
Read all records from Sim Card again.
13. Action Status
Result of your action.

Showing what is your current working section.

What is Outlook / Lotus Notes Synchronization of SimEditor :
Outlook / Lotus Notes Synchronization helps you to import the Phone Numbers from Outlook / MS Address Book ( Outlook Express ) / Lotus Notes Address Book or export to Outlook / MS Address Book /
Lotus Notes Address Book.
Import / Export Menu
Import Phone Numbers From MS Address Book
Import Phone Numbers From MS Outlook
Import Phone Numbers From Lotus Notes Address Book
Import Phone Numbers from MS Address Book ( Outlook Express ), Outlook or
Lotus Notes Address Book.

The records imported from MS Address Book / Outlook / Lotus Notes Address Book, those data will be defined as Name@H , Name@O and Name@M respectively.
Export Phone Numbers to MS Address Book
Export Phone Numbers to MS Outlook
Export Phone Numbers to Lotus Notes Address Book
Export Phone Numbers to MS Address Book (Outlook Express ), Outlook or Lotus Notes Address Book. -
If the records in export list contain Name@H , Name@O or Name@M , they will be exported and defined as home, business & mobile phone number respectively in MS Address Book / Outlook / Lotus Notes Address Book.
When you right dick on the NamefTel list of PC side or Sim card’s side, you
would see the pop-up menu.
Add ( or double click on selected record ) – to add a new record.
Modify ( or double click on selected record ) – to modify selected record.
Delete ( or !)fess “Delete· key on keyboard ) – to remove selected record.
Find – to find the recorded name on the list.
TROUBLE SHOOTING:
Why it shows “USB disconnected”?
1. Please check your Sim Editor device is connected to your computer USS
port.
2. Pull out and plug in your Sim Editor device again.
3. If it still displays “USS disconnected”, try to reinstall Sim Editor
Software and repeat the step 1. and 2.
Sim Card not found ?
1. Please check your Sim Card is in your Sim Editor device or not.
2. Check if the sim card is inserted in right direction, please refer to the
graphic shown on the front side of gift box.
Import Outlook Error?
1. Please disable all the Outlook security, such as protection password.
Records seem different from Sim Card.
1. Please press “Refresh” to read the records from Sim Card again.
Problem with USB Hub.
1. Try to connect Sim Editor Device to your computer mother board’s USS port directly.
Why some contacts of MS Address Book / MS Outlook or Lotus Notes cannot be imported to the Sim Editor Software?
1. Sim Editor would not support the contact records which are protected by
any Protection Function of MS Address Book / MS Outlook or Lotus Notes. Also
cannot
support the contact records of MS Address Book / MS Outlook or Lotus Notes
which cannot be read by MS Wab API Functions ( Wab API issued by Microsoft ) /
MS Office OLE Functions ( MS Office OLE Library issued by Microsoft ) or Lotus
Notes API Functions ( Lotus Notes 6.0 API or above issued by IBM ).
Why Sim Editor cannot read the records of MS Address Book / MS Outlook or Lotus Notes which the records were synchronized via PDA or Palm ?
1 . Some synchronized programmes from PDA or Palm may not use MS Wab API / MS Office OLE Library or Lotus Notes 6.0 API. Therefore, it may cause error synchronized from MS Address Book / MS Outlook or Lotus Notes by Sim Editor.
