ring Video Doorbell Pro 2
Product Information
The Doorbell Pro 2 is a smart doorbell system that allows you to monitor and interact with visitors at your door through your smartphone. It comes with installation hardware including mounting screws, wall anchors, security screws, wire nuts, wire extenders, and an Alt Pro Power Kit. If you don’t have an existing doorbell, you can power the Doorbell Pro 2 directly using the Plug-in Adapter, which can be purchased separately. To set up and manage your Doorbell Pro 2, you need to download the Ring App from your app store or visit ring.com/app. The app will guide you through the setup process. The Doorbell Pro 2 is designed to replace an existing doorbell button and gets its power from the doorbell system. Before installation, make sure your existing doorbell system is working by ringing the doorbell and listening for the chime. Before starting the installation process, it is essential to turn off the power at the breaker to ensure safety. If you’re not sure which breaker controls your doorbell chime, it is recommended to turn off the master breaker for your home or consult an electrician. The Pro Power Kit, included with the Doorbell Pro 2, needs to be installed in your doorbell chime. It is not a transformer or power adapter. Make sure to remove and replace any existing Pro Power Kit. The Doorbell Pro 2 has specific input requirements for voltage, power, and frequency. Make sure to adhere to these requirements toavoid any damage or safety hazards. During installation, you will need to remove the cover from your doorbell chime and connect the wires of the Pro Power Kit to the Front and Trans terminals. The Pro Power Kit should be positioned within your internal doorbell, away from any moving parts. If you are replacing an existing doorbell button, you need to uninstall it by removing it from the wall and disconnecting the wires. Be careful not to let the wires fall back inside the wall. The Doorbell Pro 2 also comes with an optional Corner Mount, which can be used to angle the doorbell for better motion detection and visibility. The installation of the Corner Mount involves marking mounting holes on the wall and aligning them with existing holes if replacing a Ring Doorbell.
