OzSpy HDTPEN1080P Spy Pen User Guide

General Operation

Charging: Connect the USB cable from the device to a USB power outlet. While the device is charging the LED flashes. Once the device is fully charged the LED will stay on. Prior to first use only, please ignore the LED indicator and continue to charge the device for an additional 2 hours. This device can also record while charging. Refer to Video and Photo Recording above.

SD Card: To save recordings install a Class 10 Micro SD Card maximum size 32gb. Please note the SD Card must be formatted as Fat32.

Standby Mode: Long press the On/Off button. A red LED will illuminate and then flash once. The camera is now in standby mode.

Photo Mode: From Standby a short press of the On/Off button will take a photo. The red LED will flash once. Repeat to take additional photos.

Video Mode: From Standby a long press of the On/Off button, release when the red LED flashes to start a video recording. Once recordings start the LED will go out. Pressing the On/Off button will save the recording and return to Standby Mode. The red LED will remain on. If the recording is not stopped manually the recordings will automatically be saved every 3 minutes. When the memory card is full the oldest recordings will be overwritten. If loop recording is disabled the file will be saved and the camera will shut down.

Shutdown: Long press the On/Off button for 3 seconds to shutdown. The LED will go out.

Recording playback: Using the supplied USB cable connect the device to a Desktop Computer or Laptop. Your computer will automatically setup the device and allow you to view the stored recordings using your favourite image viewer or Media Player. Video format is AVI and the codec is M-JPEG. Photo’s are JPG.

Time and Loop Recording Setup: With the device connected to your computer use notepad to create a file time.txt and save it to the USB root directory. Open the text file and enter the date and time in the following format: YYYY- MM-DD HH:MM:SS

Beneath the date and time the first “Y” means the time watermark is enabled. Change to “N” to disable. The second “Y” will enable Loop recording. “N” to disable.

Factory Reset: Should the device become unstable please try a Factory Reset. Carefully insert a small pin like object into the reset button.
