INTRODUCTION

This Toslink® S/PDIF 1×3 Splitter allows you to connect a single digital optical S/PDIF (Toslink) audio source to up to three devices, such as a television, audio amplifier, AV receiver, etc. It supports 2-channel high- definition audio sources, including LPCM, DTS®, and Dolby Digital™. It has a 96kHz sampling rate, supports signal re-timing, and can transmit audio to distances up to 131 feet (40 meters) using an optical cable with a loss of less than 0.2dB/m.

CONNECTION

Perform the following steps to connect the splitter to your system.

  1. Ensure that all devices to be connected are powered off and disconnected from their power sources.

  2. Using a Toslink® digital optical S/PDIF cable (available separately), plug one end into the optical input on one of your output devices (e.g., amplifier, TV, etc.), then plug the other end into one of the OUT ports on the splitter. Repeat for up to two additional output devices.

  3. Using a Toslink digital optical S/PDIF cable (available separately), plug one end into the IN port on the splitter, then plug the other end into the optical output on your audio source device (e.g., DVD player, gaming console, etc.).

  4. Plug one end of the included USB Power Cable into the USB POWER port on the splitter, then plug the other end into a USB power source, such as a computer, wall charger, etc.
    (available separately). The POWER LED on the splitter illuminates to indicate that power is applied.

  5. Plug in and power on all connected devices.

  6. Start audio playback on your source device and verify that you can hear audio from each output device.
