SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before using this electrical appliance, carefully read the instructions below and keep them for future reference:

  1. Before plugging the appliance into a wall socket, check that the local electric current corresponds to the current specified on the rating plate affixed to the appliance. Always plug your appliance into an earthed wall socket.

  2. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  3. Appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

  4. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

  5. Children shall not play with appliance.

  6. Defective electrical appliances must be recycled, not disposed of with household waste. Please actively help us in our efforts to preserve resources and protect the environment by disposing of this appliance at dedicated collection centres and rubbish dumps.

  7. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

  8. Warning! Do not submerge the power cord, the plug or the appliance in water or in any other liquid! Never place the appliance under running water!

  9. Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.

  10. Handle the blade with particular care as it is very sharp and can injure you during cleaning.

  11. Never handle the blender stick blade while your appliance is plugged in.

  12. Prior to first use, clean all the accessories with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry carefully.

  13. Regarding the instructions for the use of accessories, operation times and speed settings, refer to the below paragraphs.

  14. If you use an extension cord, make sure that its rated capacity matches the appliance’s power consumption.

  15. Durations of use and speed settings for each accessory can be found in the “INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE” section.

  16. Caution: Do not use the device for more than 1 minute. Do not operate for more than 15 seconds if using hard food.

  17. Never use a damaged appliance! Unplug the appliance from the electrical socket and contact the retailer if it is damaged.

  18. Risk of electric shock! Do not try to repair the device yourself. In the event of a malfunction, repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel.

  19. Do not use the appliance with wet hands or if you’re standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the plug with wet hands.

  20. Never open the appliance’s housing! Do not insert any foreign bodies into the housing.

  21. Risk of suffocation! Keep all packaging materials out of the reach of children and babies!

  22. Recycle the packaging materials in accordance with regulations. Ask local authorities where dedicated collection centres and rubbish dumps are located.

  23. Stop the appliance and unplug it before changing any accessories or touching any parts that move whilst the appliance is in use.

  24. WARNING: Beware the risk of injury if used incorrectly. Care must be taken when handling sharp knives and during cleaning.

  25. The appliance has been designed for domestic and similar applications, such as:
    • kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices or other working environments;
    • farms;
    • by guests in hotels, motels and other residential environments;
    • environments akin to B&Bs.

  26. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food processor or blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

    Description

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Unpack all of the parts.
  2. Immediately after unpacking, check for completeness and any damage sustained during shipping. If your package is damaged or incomplete, please contact our After-Sales department.
  3. Clean the appliance and its components.

USE

  1. To assemble the blending stick with the motor unit, turn the blending stick anti-clockwise direction until it is tightened. To disassemble, just turn in the adverse direction.
  2. Connect the hand blender with power outlet.
  3. Lower the hand blender into food, and then press and hold the switch button to start operating. To make the hand blender stop running, release the switch button.
  4. If you want to operate the hand blender under the high speed, press and hold the turbo button. To make the hand blender stop running, release the turbo button.

  • Warning! Never blend hot oil, fats, frozen products, big pieces of meat or ingredients that are too hard.
  • Warning! If the appliance heats up, stop using it for a few minutes to let it cool down.
  • Warning! If the appliance is blocked, stop and unplug it before conducting any cleaning.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCEE

  1. After use, clean the blender stick (4) in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry carefully.
  2. Clean the handle with a dry or slightly damp cloth then dry thoroughly.
  3. Do not use any scouring cleaning product, scouring pads or scourers.
  • Warning! Do not use any corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive cleaners, sharp or metal objects to clean the appliance.
STORAGE
  1. Before storing, make sure that the device is already disconnected from the power outlet.
  2. Keep the device in a dry place away from humidity and direct sunlight, but also out of the reach of children.

GUARANTEES

Guarantees and limitations of liability

Products are guaranteed for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase, or from the date of delivery to the customer’s home. Depending on the country, this guarantee consists of 24 to 36 months of validity for the legal compliance guarantee. For countries that only implement a 24-month legal compliance guarantee, a 12-month commercial guarantee is applied at the end of the first guarantee, and supplements it.

For the commercial guarantee
Please go to the reception desk at your place of purchase with your proof of purchase (e.g. sales receipt), the product and the accessories it came with, and its original packaging, for all countries other than France. It is important to have the date of purchase, the model and the serial number or IMEI number to hand (this information is usually indicated on the product, packaging, or on your proof of purchase). You’ll need to bring back the product with the accessories needed for its correct functioning (power supply, adapter, etc.). If your claim is covered by the guarantee, the after-sales service may, within the limits of local law, either:

  • Repair or replace faulty parts.
  • Exchange the returned product with a product that has, at the least, the same features and that offers equivalent performances.
  • Refund the product at the price stated on the proof of purchase.

Repaired or replaced products may include new and/or re conditioned hardware and components.

Commercial guarantee exclusions:
  • Damages or problems caused by improper use, accident, tampering/modification or an unsuitable current or voltage connection.
  • Use or storage conditions which are detrimental to the good conservation of the appliance (oxidation, corrosion), use of energy, use or installation non-compliant with the manufacturer’s instructions, or negligence or use of peripherals, software or consumables which are unsuitable.
  • Professional or collective, industrial or commercial use of the product.
  • Products that have been modified, or which have damaged, altered, erased or oxidised guarantee seals or serial numbers.
  • Replaceable batteries and accessories are guaranteed for 6 months.
  • Battery failure, caused by overcharging or by failure to follow the safety instructions set out in the manual.
  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches, bumps or vandalism.
  • Damage caused by any servicing operations carried out by non-authorised persons.
  • Faults caused by normal wear and tear or the normal ageing of the product: seals, filters, accessories,
  • vacuum cleaner brush and hose, lamps, overhead projector lamps, washing machine paddles, etc.
  • Software updates as a consequence of changes to network settings.
  • Damage caused by elements external to the appliance (foreign bodies, insects, etc.).
  • The contents of the devices – freezer, washing machine, etc. (food, clothing, etc.)
  • Product failure caused by the use of third-party software to modify, change, adapt or alter the product as is.
  • Product failure resulting from its use without the accessories supplied with the product or approved by the Manufacturer.
  • Parts for normal wear and tear or damage from use: tyre, inner tube, brake, etc.

The customer is responsible for regularly backing up the data contained on their hard disk or in the internal memory of their device, and this before any claim is submitted. Auchan cannot be held liable for the loss or destruction of stored data, nor may it be held liable for damage caused to software resulting from, in particular, a restoration or a breakdown.
Similarly, Auchan is not required to check that SIM/SD cards have been removed from returned products.

Under no circumstances shall the provisions set out above reduce or eliminate: the legal guarantee referred to above, and the manufacturer’s commercial guarantee, if applicable (see guarantee form).
