Product Information
The SmartCamera is a versatile home security device that offers a range of
features to enhance your security and convenience. It is designed to balance
privacy and clarity by automatically turning off when family members are
present and on again when the house is empty. With real-time conversations
through your mobile device, you can easily check in on your home. The
SmartCamera provides a full view of your home by allowing you to pan and tilt
to view images from the mobile app. It also keeps you informed with
notifications for important events and moments.

Product Usage Instructions

Open the ecobee mobile app to get started.

Once the app is opened, add your SmartCamera to begin setup.
For more detailed instructions, visit ecobee.com/setup. -
Familiarize yourself with the SmartCamera components:
- Top view: Shows the voice assistant button, mute button, and dual stand/mount.
- Front view: Shows the voice assistant indicators, microphones, wide-angle lens, and speaker.

Pick a view from any angle:
- Use the dual stand/mount for placing or wall-mounting your SmartCamera.
- If wall-mounted, angle the camera to change the field of view.

Mount your SmartCamera:

Attach the dual mount/stand to the back of the SmartCamera and plug it in for testing.

Hold the camera up to the desired mounting location and check the view on the ecobee app. Adjust the view as needed.

Use a 3/16 drill bit to drill a hole at the chosen mounting spot.

Screw the plastic anchor into the wall, ensuring it is flush.

Fasten the mounting screw into the anchor until there is a small gap between them.

Remove the mount from the camera and hang it on the screw. Adjust the screw for a secure fit.

Attach the camera to the mount and ensure it is securely in place.

You’re all set! Open the ecobee app to check the camera’s view and make any necessary adjustments.

Meet your SmartCamera
Pick a view from any angle
You can use the dual stand/mount for both placing or wall-mounting your
SmartCamera. Once mounted, you can angle the camera to change the field of
view.
How to mount your SmartCamera

Attach the mount
Attach the dual mount/stand to the back of the SmartCamera and plug it in so you can test the view in the next step. -
Test view
Hold the camera up to the place you’d like to mount it and check the view on the ecobee app. You can adjust the view after mounting. -
Drill hole
Use a 3/16” drill bit to drill a hole where you will mount the camera. -
Screw in anchor
Screw the plastic anchor into the wall and ensure it’s flush. -
Fasten the screw
Fasten the mounting screw into the anchor until there’s a little amount of space between it and the anchor. -
Hang the mount on the screw
Remove the mount from the camera and hang it on the screw. If it feels too loose, adjust the screw until it’s secure. -
Attach the camera to the mount
Attach the camera to the mount and make sure it’s secure. -
You’re all set
Open the ecobee app to check the camera’s view and adjust it anyway you’d like.
