The AENO KS1S kitchen scales are designed to determine the weight of various food products and small items. The package includes the AENO KS1S kitchen scales, AKS0001S model (color superwhite), 3 AAA batteries, a quick start guide, and a warranty card.

To use the AENO KS1S kitchen scales, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the battery cover from the scales.
  2. Insert the 3 AAA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring they are inserted correctly.
  3. Replace the battery cover.
  4. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the scales.
  5. Place the item you want to weigh on the scales’ weighing platform.
  6. The weight will be displayed on the screen.
  7. To reset the weight to zero, press the TARE button.
  8. To switch between different units of measurement, press the unit button.
  9. To turn off the scales, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

If you encounter any issues with the scales, try removing the batteries for 10 seconds and then reinserting them before turning on the device again. If the problem persists, contact your supplier or service center for assistance. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. The warranty period for the AENO KS1S kitchen scales is 2 years from the date of purchase. The manufacturer of the scales is ASBISc Enterprises PLC, located in Limassol, Cyprus. Limitations and Warnings: Handle the glass surface of the scale with care to avoid damage, cracks and splitting, as broken glass can cause injury. Monitor the use of the device by children and persons with physical or mental disabilities. Do not allow children to play with the device. Place the scale on a flat, horizontal surface to avoid inaccurate measurements. Do not load the unit beyond the maximum permissible weight. When not in use for extended periods of time, remove the batteries and store them out of the reach of children and animals. Avoid getting water or other liquids on your device. Remove the batteries before cleaning the device. Remove dirt on the body of the device with a cloth dampened with water. If it is very dirty, put a few drops of dishwashing liquid on the cloth. After cleaning, wipe the surface thoroughly with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaners or solvents.

WARNING! Do not submerge the device in water. Do not wash the unit or any part of it under running water or in the dishwasher.

Preparing the device for operation:

  • Unpack the device and wipe its surfaces with a cloth moistened with water.
  • Wipe it dry. Open the battery cover (fig. b) and insert 3 (three) AAA (1.5 V) batteries, observing the correct polarity.
  • Close the battery cover. Place the device on a stable, horizontal surface.
  • Press “TARE” (“TARA”) button (2).
  • The display will show “0 g”.
    NOTE. The scale also automatically turns on when a product is placed on its surface. Next, select the unit of measurement. To do this, press “UNIT” button (1) several times. After each press, the display will show the current unit of measure “g” for grams, “lb:oz” for pounds, “oz” for ounces, “fl:oz” for fluid ounces, “ml” for milliliters. The selected settings are saved for the current weighing and at the next switching on of the device. The settings are reset when the batteries are removed.

Device operation

  • Place the product on the surface of the device. The display will show the weight of the product in the selected unit of measure.
  • If you want to know the weight of the product without its container (plate, glass or container), first place the container on the scale and zero the display by pressing “TARE” (“TARA”) button (2). After that, put or pour the product into the container. The display will show the weight of the product.
  • To turn off the device, hold down the “TARE” (“TARA”) button (2) for 3 seconds or wait for the device to turn off automatically. The device switches off automatically if not used for more than one minute.

Connecting the AENO mobile app

Download AENO mobile app from Google Play or App Store and register a new account (or sign in to an existing one).

  • Turn on the device by pressing the button (2). Position your smartphone as close as possible to the device

  • On the main application screen, press “+” and “Add device” in sequence.
    NOTE. If you are prompted by the system to turn on any functions on your smartphone, do so.

  • Tap “Add” on “Add device” screen, in “Device Detection” line.

  • In the window that opens, click “+” next to the device name. Then click “Done” button.

  • Wait until the message «Device successfully added» appears.

  • You will now be able to view information about weighed products in the AENO app. For more information on the capabilities of the application, see the full user manual at aeno.com/documents.

Troubleshooting

  • The device does not turn on. Possible cause: missing or dead batteries or incorrect polarity when inserting them. Solution: Insert the charged batteries into the battery pack (fig. b), observing the polarity.
  • The device displays random values or does not turn off automatically. Possible cause: software error. Solution: remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then put them back in. Turn the device on. Next, the scales should work correctly.

Device error codes displayed on the display:

  • Lo – the power supply is low; Err – the maximum permissible product weight is exceeded;
