Limitations and Warnings
ATTENTION! Failure to follow the operating rules may cause damage to the
user’s health or property.
Children and persons with physical and mental disabilities may only use the
device under the supervision of adults responsible for their safety. The unit
should only be operated in a domestic environment and in accordance with the
instructions in this document or in the full user manual, available at
aeno.com/documents.
Before connecting the appliance to the mains, check that the rated voltage
indicated in the technical documentation corresponds to that of the electrical
socket. Connect and disconnect the appliance only with dry hands. Do not
immerse the device in water or other liquids. Place the device on a horizontal
surface in such a way as to eliminate the possibility of overturning.
The body of the appliance gets very hot during operation. Do not touch the
unit until it has cooled down completely or use protective gloves. Hold the
handle (1) when opening the device. Carry the unit by holding it by the base
only. Large quantities of food placed in the device make it difficult to close
the lid. Do not press the lid too hard as this could damage the device. Only
remove cooked food from the plates with a heat–resistant spatula. Do not use
forks, knives, or other sharp kitchen appliances to avoid damaging the
non–stick coating of the removable plates.
Do not leave the appliance in operation unattended. Always unplug the
appliance after use or before cleaning it. To prevent burns, do not remove the
drip tray (8) with the contents until the appliance has cooled down
completely. Do not repair the appliance yourself, contact an authorized
service center. Do not make any modifications to the appliance or its
components.
Initial setup
Unpack the appliance, remove the grease drip tray (8). Remove the plates (6)
and (7) by pressing the respective (upper or lower) release buttons (4).
Wash the plates and the drip tray with neutral detergent, wipe them dry and
refit them. Install the plates so that the grease chute (10) faces backwards:
the grease should flow into the drip tray. Place the appliance on a
heat–resistant base and in a well–ventilated area at least 30 cm away from
other objects.
NOTE. The removable plates are interchangeable and reversible: one side has a ribbed surface and the other is flat. Cooking can be done on either side. When using them for the first time, grease the outer cooking surface of the removable plates with a thin layer of cooking oil. If you subsequently cook on the other side of the plates, apply a layer of cooking oil to the other side as well when using it for the first time. This will ensure that the non–stick coating works best.
