SAFETY NOTES AND OPERATION

Please note the included General Safety Notes and the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:

  • Please read this manual carefully and use the device only according to this manual.
  • Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
  • To prevent accidents please mount the tap column only on a tilt resistant and firm foundation which is able to take a load such as stone slabs, concrete base. Use screws and dowel pins which are adapted for the used foundation.
  • Do not use the tap column to deliver drink water.

Application

  • This column is only intended for use with water. Do not use it to deliver aggressive chemicals, sewage, acidic or flammable liquids as well as abrasive substances.
  • Water contaminated by gravel, silt, sand or similar material may damage the column.

Mounting the Column

  1.  Please keep in mind that the column must be cut off from the water mains and drained during the frosty season. Provide suitable valves or other means.
  2. Build or install a suitable foundation and put the column on the foundation and align the holes at the pump base.
  3. Mark the holes and drill 4 holes into the foundation at the marked positions by using a suited drill. The mounting holes on the column are intended for a screw diameter of 8 mm.
  4. Insert dowel pins into the drilled holes in accordance to the screw size (screws not included). You can connect the column on a water pipe G ½”.
  5. Collimate the holes of the flange connection and bolt down the column with suitable screws.

Operation

You can use the installed tap to fill buckets or watering opts.

You can use the shot-off cock on the bottom of the column to attach a hose.

Maintenance and Care

  • To protect the column from frost damage it is necessary to disconnect it from the water mains and drain out remaining water to prevent damage from freezing water.
  • In spring when there is no danger you can safely resume using the column.
  • Never use corrosive or acid cleaners to clean the pump.
  • The column does not contain any other parts serviceable by you. Do not disassemble it and do not try to repair it yourself. In the case of questions or problems feel free to contact the Westfalia Customer Service.
