Caramatic Connect Clean – gas filter type FA 99 for filtering the gaseous phase

MAINTENANCE Filter cartridge

Clean the filter cup and replace the filter element:
Danger of explosion and burning due to opened gas cylinder(s)!

  • Can cause explosions. Severe burns in case of direct skin contact.

  • Close the gas cylinder valve(s) before opening the gas filter!

  •  Wear protective clothing, especially gloves!

  • Keep ignition sources or electrical objects out of reach!

  •  Keep the piping in a gas free state or ventilate it using the gas equipment!

  • Close the gas supply!

  • Loosen and unscrew the filter cup 1 by hand 7 with the screw aid.

  • Do not damage 1 the filter cup, replace if necessary.

  • Wear gloves!

  • Wipe away the collected oil and dirt in the filter cup 1 with a cloth.

  • Unscrew the filter cartridge 2 by hand and pull the filter element 5 off the supporting core 9.

  • Clean the 3 0-ring with cleaning agent.

  • Dispose of the filter element 5 cloth and cloves (hazardous waste!).

  • Place the new filter element 5 on the supporting core 9 by hand and screw in the filter cartridge 2 by hand.

  • Position the 1 filter cup and screw in by hand, then tighten with 7 the screw aid (max. 5 Nm).

NOTICE

The O-ring 3 must sit directly in the mounting and be free of dirt.

  • Tighten the inlet and outlet connection if applicable.

  • Open the gas cylinder valve and perform LEAK TESTING!
    Here, also check the leak-tightness between the filter housing and filter cup!

  • The filter cartridge is suitable for gas filter type FA 99 and type AS99.

  • We recommend servicing the filter cup and filter cartridge every year.

CAUTION
Risk of burning or fire!
Serious burns to the skin or damage to property.
• Do not use an open flame to check for leaks.

Before start-up, check the product connections for leak-tightness.

  • Close all shut-off fittings on the connected Consumer equipment.
  • Slowly open the withdrawal valve or the gas cylinder valve.
  • If there is a safety device (e.g. SBS, EFV) connected to the connected Consumer equipment, open this during leak testing.
  •  Spray all connections with a foam producing substance according to EN 14291 (e.g. leak spray, item no. 02 601 00).
  • Bubbles will form in the foam producing substance if there are any leaks.

NOTICE

If more bubbles form, re-tighten the connections.
If the leaks cannot be repaired, the product must not be used and must be replaced.

START-UP

After the product has been ASSEMBED and LEAK TESTING has been carried out successfully, it is immediately ready for operation.

  • Please also consider the safety of others.

DISPOSAL

To protect the environment, our products  may not be disposed of along withhousehold waste.
The product must be disposed of via a local collection station or a recycling station.
