IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE STARTING.
We strongly recommend that all direct-wired lighting products be installed by a licensed electrician. Two people may be required for installation. DO NOT EXCEED the rated bulb wattage. Keep flammable materials away from bulb. This light fixture is shipped with all internal wiring intact. Do not open the product or alter the wiring in any manner.

Installation requires an electrical junction box in the ceiling sufficient to support the weight of the light fixture. This fixture weighs: 16.5lb (7.5kg).

WARNING: Be certain that the power to the electrical junction box is turned off at the circuit breaker before installation. Turning the power off at a light switch is not sufficient to prevent electrical shock.

CAUTION: Prior to installation, locate All INCLUDED PARTS before disposing of packaging materials.

TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION

Assembly Procedure (refer to figure)

Assembly

  1. SHUT OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER.
  2. Remove all parts and hardware from carton. Do not discard any contents until after assembly is complete to avoid accidentally discarding small parts or hardware.
  3. If not already separated, remove the Thread Ring (M) and the Canopy (L) from the Metal Link (N) and set them aside.
  4. Attach the Mounting Bracket (E) to the ceiling outlet junction box using the Mounting Screw (G). Align the slots of the Mounting Bracket (E) with the two threaded holes located on the junction box. Use a screwdriver to tighten each screw until the Mounting Bracket (E) is firmly secured to the junction box.
  5. Position the Lock Washer (J) and Hex Nut (H) on the lower portion of the Nipple (I) and another Hex Nut (H) on the upper portion of the Nipple (I).
  6. Screw Nipple (I) on the Mounting Bracket (E) and tighten with Hex Nut (H) using a hex wrench or a pair of pliers. Attach Collar Loop (K) on the Nipple (I) and tighten with the Lock Washer (J) and Hex Nut (H) to firmly secure.
  7. Determine the desired height of the light fixture and select the number of Hanging Rod (O) to use allowing the extra cord length for the outlet junction box wire connections as noted below.
  8. To remove a Hanging Rod (O), open the Metal Link (N) at the top and bottom of the selected Hanging Rod (O). Use a cloth or a folded piece of paper between the pliers and the Metal Link (N) to protect the finish during this process.
  9. Re-weave the fixture’s two-wire cord cable, and bare copper ground wire through Hanging Rod (O), the Thread Ring (M), the Canopy (L), and then to the Collar Loop (K).
  10. Feed the fixture wires through the bottom opening of Collar Loop (K), and then through the Nipple (I).
  11. If needed (depending upon final fixture hanging position from the ceiling), cut off the extra power cord length on the 2 wires cord and bare copper ground wire. Make sure when cutting the power cord and bare copper ground wire, they all are at least 6 inches (152.4 mm) long within the outlet junction box. Prepare the cut power cord wires using for the following steps. Use wire strippers to prepare two wires ends so that there is about 1/2 inch of exposed wire for the Plastic Wire Connector (A) attachment.
  12. Gently pull existing Ground, Hot, and Neutral Junction Box Wires down from the Ceiling Junction Box and allow them to hang.
  13. Carefully inspect the chandelier’s fixture wires. The Neutral Fixture Wire (B) is ribbed. The Hot Fixture Wire (C) is smooth, and the Ground fixture Wire (D) is in copper.
  14. Attach Ground fixture Wire (D) to the Ground Junction Box Wire; it usually has green insulation around it or is bare wire. Fasten them together with a Wire Connector (A) and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Make sure no wire strands are exposed. If your Ceiling Outlet Junction Box does not have a Ground Junction Box Wire, insert Ground Screw (F) into Mounting Bracket (E) where it’s marked “Ground”, and wrap the Ground fixture wire (D) around the Ground Screw (F). Tighten the screw to clamp the Ground Fixture Wire (D) between the Ground Screw (F) head and the Mounting Bracket (E). It is imperative that the Ceiling Junction Box in your home be properly grounded.
  15. Connect the Neutral Fixture Wire (B) to the Neutral Junction Box Wire; it usually has white insulation around it. Fasten them together with a plastic Wire Connector (A) and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Make sure that no wire strands are exposed.
  16. Connect the Hot Fixture Wire (C) to Hot Junction Box Wire; it usually has black insulation around it. Fasten them together with a plastic Wire Connector (A) and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Make sure that no wire strands are exposed. Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections or safety will be compromised.
  17. Gently tuck the wire connections neatly into the Ceiling Outlet Junction Box.
  18. Slide the Canopy (L) upward along the Metal Link (N) so that the central opening is received and centered by the threaded portion of the Collar Loop (K). The Collar Loop (K) should be hanging below the Canopy (L), the upper rim of the Canopy (L) should be pressed gently against the ceiling surface, covering the junction box. While holding the Canopy (L) firmly in place, position the Thread Ring (M) against the Collar Loop (K) and rotate clockwise to engage it with the threaded portion of the Collar Loop (K) until secure. Do not over tighten this nut. Finger tight should be sufficient to hold the Canopy (L) firmly in place.
  19. Insert four (4) 60-Watt maximum Type B Candelabra incandescent light bulbs (not included) or four (4) 13- watt maximum compact fluorescent light bulb (not included) or four (4) 9-watt maximum LED light bulb (not included) into the socket. Do not exceed the specified wattage.
  20. Restore power to Ceiling Outlet Junction Box and test the fixture.
    Overview

Care and Cleaning

  1. Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
  2. AVOID cleaners, scouring pads, etc.
