Assembly Procedure
- OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY AT FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER.
- Remove all parts from carton. Do not throw away any parts. NOTE: Be VERY delicate with the glass shades.
- Remove Mounting Bar (B), with Threaded Tube (D) attached, from Canopy (E) by loosening Collar (F).
- Affix Mounting Bar (B) to ceiling outlet box with Mounting Bar Screws (C) provided.
- Guide wiring from Chain (H) and Collar (F) through Canopy (E) and Threaded Tube (D)
- Make proper electrical connections described in steps 7—9. A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.
- Attach the BARE WIRE from the fixture to the GROUND JUNCTION BOX WIRE from the OUTLET JUNCTION BOX. Fasten each together with a WIRE NUT (A) by twisting the connector in a clockwise direction and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Make sure that no wire strands are exposed. If your OUTLET JUNCTION BOX DOES NOT have a GROUND WIRE, be sure to insert the GROUND SCREW (P) into the MOUNTING BAR (B), marked as “GND,” facing front, and wrap the fixture’s bare GROUND WIRE around the GROUND SCREW. Tighten the screw to clamp the GROUND WIRE between GROUND SCREW (P) head and MOUNTING BAR (B). IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE JUNCTION BOX IN YOUR HOME BE PROPERLY GROUNDED!
- Connect the NEUTRAL FIXTURE WIRE to the NEUTRAL JUNCTION BOX WIRE. Fasten each together with a WIRE NUT (A) by twisting the connector in a clockwise direction and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Make sure that no wire strands are exposed.
- Connect the HOT FIXTURE WIRE to the HOT JUNCTION BOX WIRE. Fasten each together with a WIRE NUT (A) by twisting the connector in a clockwise direction and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Make sure that no wire strands are exposed. DO NOT REVERSE THE HOT AND NEUTRAL CONNECTIONS OR SAFETY WILL BE COMPROMISED.
- Carefully push wire connections back into the ceiling outlet box.
- Lift Canopy (E) to the ceiling outlet box and secure with Collar (F).
- VERY delicately and carefully screw the glass shades (M) onto the sockets (N) WITHOUT holding too much pressure on the glass.
