SAFETY INFORMATION

Before using this electrical appliance, read the instructions below and keep these instructions for future reference:

  1. Before connecting the appliance to a wall socket, ensure that the local electrical current matches the one specified on the appliance’s nameplate. This appliance should only be connected to a grounded socket.
  2.  If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  3.  This appliance is for indoor use only. Any other use (professional) is excluded.
  4. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  5.  This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU.To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

  11.  This appliance is not intended to be used through a remote control system or external timer.

  13.  This appliance must be positioned on a flat surface for use. Do not turn it over while in use.
  14.   CAUTION: Keep all ventilation outlets around the appliance clear.
  15.   WARNING: Improper use of this appliance could result in injury.

 INSTALLATION

  1. Assemble the base (5) Insert the base screw (1) through the base washer (2), the weight (3), the dowel (4) , and the base (5) while ensuring that the base washer, the weight, the dowel and the base are correctly positioned.
  2. Fix the stand (6) to the base (5)Align and insert the stand (6) into the base (5), then tighten everything by turning the base screw (1) clockwise.To adjust the stand height, loosen the fastening screw (7) and set the desired height, then tighten the fastening screw once the desired height has been achieved.
  3. Fix the engine unit (10) to the upper tube (8)Position the engine unit (10) on the upper tube (8), then tighten the engine unit with the upper tube screw (21), upper tube nut (22), engine screw A (19), and engine screw B (20) while ensuring that the screws and the nut are correctly located.
  4. Fix the rear guard (15) to the engine unit (10).Position the rear guard (15) onto the engine unit (10) while ensuring that the four holes on the rear guard are aligned with the four holes on the engine unit, and the rear guard handle must be turned upward. Then tighten the rear guard with the four screws (16) and four washers.
  5. Fix the blade assembly (17) to the engine shaft (13). Unscrew the blade screw (14) from the blade assembly (17). Slide the blade assembly exactly onto the notch of the engine shaft (13), and tighten the blade assembly with the blade screw while ensuring that the blade screw is positioned onto the flat part of the engine shaft.
  6. Fix the front guard (18) to the rear guard (15)Position the front guard (18) over the rear guard (15) while ensuring that the small hole on the front guard edge is aligned with the small hole at the bottom of the rear guard. Tighten the front guard fastenings, then further fasten using the safety screw with nut (23) at the bottom of the guard.

USE

  1. Connect the appliance’s mains cable (9) to the mains (220240V/AC, 50Hz).
  2. Turn the  rotary switch (12) toselect a desired fanning speed. “I” stands for low speed, “II” for medium speed, “III” for high speed, and “0” for stop.
  3. Press down on the oscillation knob (11) to activate oscillation, and pull up on it to deactivate.
  4. To change air direction upward or downward, loosen the upper tube nut (22) to change the direction of the engine unit (10), then retighten the upper tube nut.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
Clean the appliance using a soft dusting cloth.
You can use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and lint from the fan guard.
Never use harsh cleaning products. Avoid touching the appliance with acidic substances.
Store away from dust and freezing temperatures.

GUARANTEES

Guarantees and limitations of liability
Products are guaranteed for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase, or from the date of delivery to the customer’s home. Depending on the country, this guarantee consists of 24 to 36 months of validity for the legal compliance guarantee.

For the commercial guarantee
Please go to the reception desk at your place of purchase with your proof of purchase (e.g. sales receipt), the product and the accessories it came with, and its original packaging, for all countries other than France. It is important to have the date of purchase, the model and the serial number or IMEI number to hand (this information is usually indicated on the product, packaging, or on your proof of purchase). You’ll need to bring back the product with the accessories needed for its correct functioning (power supply, adapter, etc.). If your claim is covered by the guarantee, the after-sales service may, within the limits of local law, either:

  • Repair or replace faulty parts.
  • Exchange the returned product with a product that has, at the least, the same features and that offers equivalent performances.
  • Refund the product at the price stated on the proof of purchase.
    Repaired or replaced products may include new and/or reconditioned hardware and components.

Commercial guarantee exclusions:

  • Damages or problems caused by improper use, accident, tampering/modification or an unsuitable current or voltageconnection.
  •  Use or storage conditions which are detrimental to thegood conservation of the appliance (oxidation,corrosion), use of energy, use or installation non-compliant with the  manufacturer’s instructions, or negligence or use of peripherals, software or consumables which are unsuitable.
  •  Professional or collective, industrial or commercial use of the product.
  • Products that have been modified, or which have damaged, altered, erased or oxidised guarantee seals or serialnumbers.
  •  Replaceable batteries and accessories are guaranteed for 6 months.
  • Battery failure, caused by overcharging or by failure to follow the safety instructions set out in the manual.
  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches, bumps or vandalism.
  • Damage caused by any servicing operations carried out by non-authorised persons.
  • Faults caused by normal wear and tear or the normalageing of the product: seals, filters, accessories,
  • vacuum cleaner brush and hose, lamps, overhead projector lamps, washing machine paddles, etc.
  • Software updates as a consequence of changes to network settings.
  • Damage caused by elements external to the appliance(foreign bodies, insects, etc.).
  • The contents of the devices – freezer, washing machine, etc. (food, clothing, etc.)
  • Product failure caused by the use of third-party software to modify, change, adapt or alter the product as is.
  • Product failure resulting from its use without the accessories supplied with the product or approved by theManufacturer.
  • Parts for normal wear and tear or damage from use: tyre, inner tube, brake, etc.

The customer is responsible for regularly backing up the data contained on their hard disk or in the internal memory of their device, and this before any claim is submitted. Auchan cannot be held liable for the loss or destruction ofstored data, nor may it be held liable for damage causedto software resulting from, in particular, a restoration or abreakdown. Similarly, Auchan is not required to check that SIM/SD cards have been removed from returned products. Under no circumstances shall the provisions set out above reduce or eliminate: the legal guarantee referred to above, and the manufacturer’s commercial guarantee, if applicable (see guarantee form).
