The benefits we give in this manufacturer’s warranty are additional to, and do not detract from, any rights and remedies that you may have under local consumer protection laws. This manufacturer’s warranty is governed by the laws of the country in which you purchased your Belkin product. In many countries, consumers have statutory rights under local consumer laws. Those consumer
rights may differ between countries, states and provinces, and often cannot be excluded. This manufacturer’s warranty is not intended to: change or exclude any statutory consumer rights that cannot be lawfully changed or excluded; or limit or exclude any right you have against the person who sold the Belkin product to you if that person has breached their sales contract with you.

SCOPE OF MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
Express warranty-warranty periods and remedies Belkin warrants the hardware in this Belkin product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the Hardware Warranty Period.

The Hardware Warranty Period begins on the date of purchase by the original end-user purchaser and lasts for the period specified:
Twenty-Four (24) months for new product Twelve (12) months for refurbished product in Europe, the Middle East and Africa Ninety (90) days for refurbished product in U.S., Canada, Latin America and APAC If you make an eligible hardware claim under this manufacturer’s warranty, Belkin will honor this warranty by doing one of the following (at its option)

  1. repairing the product with new or refurbished parts,
  2. replacing the product with a reasonably available equivalent new or refurbished Belkin product,
  3. refunding the actual purchase price of the product less any rebates and discounts, or
  4. paying the cost of repair of the product.

Any repaired or replacement products are warranted for the remainder of the original Hardware Warranty Period or 30 days, whichever is. longer. All products and parts that are replaced become the property of Belkin. Other than in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland, this warranty is only valid and enforceable in the country of purchase. If this Belkin product is purchased in the EEA and Switzerland, this warranty is only valid and enforceable in the EEA and Switzerland and may be redeemed anywhere in the EEA and Switzerland. No Belkin employee, agent or reseller can make any verbal or written modification, extension or addition to this manufacturer’s warranty.

  1. Note: Be aware that goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than the defective goods being repaired. Alternatively, refurbished parts may be used in the repair.
  2. Note: The rights and remedies outlined above are the only rights and remedies available under this manufacturer’s warranty.
    However, a defect which gives rise to a claim under this manufacturer’s warranty may also give rise to rights under local laws, and different or additional remedies may be available under those laws. Further, rights and remedies may be available under local laws even for defects, goods or services that are not covered by this manufacturer’s warranty at all.

This manufacturer’s warranty does not apply if

  1. the product damage was caused by use with non-Belkin products,
  2. the product has not been installed, operated, repaired, or maintained in accordance with instructions supplied by Belkin,
  3. the product has been subjected to abnormal physical or electrical stress, misuse, negligence, or accident,
  4. the serial number on the product has been altered, defaced, or removed, or
  5. the product is supplied or licensed for beta, evaluation, testing or demonstration purposes for which Belkin does not charge a purchase price or license fee.

Note: Although this manufacturer’s warranty does not apply in the above circumstances, you may stil have rights and remedies under local laws.

If you are requested to return your product by post, you will be given a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number. You are responsible for properly packaging and shipping your product at your own cost and risk, and you are responsible for all shipping and handling charges, in addition to any applicable customsS duties, VAT or other associated taxes or charges when returning your product. You must include the RMA number and a copy of your dated proof of original purchase when returning your product. Products received without an RMA number and dated proof of original purchase will be rejected. Do not include any other items with the product you are returning. If you purchased your product within the European Union, Norway, or Switzerland, you must return such product to Belkin’s designated central exchange center within the European Union. CHINA
If you are a consumer in the People’s Republic of China, your replacement product will be warranted for the Hardware Warranty Period for new products.

FRANCE-RIGHTS GRANTED BY THE LEGAL GUARANTEE IN FRANCE

As a French consumer, you have rights under French law, including the legal warranty against hidden defects in accordance with Articles 1641 to 1648 of the French Civil Code, and the application of the legal warranty of conformity in accordance with Articles L.217-4 to L.217-12 of the French Consumer Code. When acting on the grounds of the legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer:
benefits from a two-year warranty period from delivery of the product in which to act; can choose between the repair or the replacement of the product, subject to the conditions regarding costs
provided for by Article L. 217-9 of the French Consumer Code; is exempt from having to prove the lack of conformity of the product for the two years following its delivery (and f or six months following delivery of the product for second-hand goods). The legal guarantee of conformity applies regardless of the commercial guarantee eventually offered. The consumer can decide to apply the legal guarantee for hidden defects within the meaning of Article 1641 of the French Civil Code. In such a case, the consumer can choose between the cancellation of the sale or a reduction of the sale price, pursuant to
Article 1644 of the French Civil Code.
Article L. 217-4 of the French Consumer Code

The seller shall deliver a good in conformity with the contract and shall be held liable for the lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery. The seller shall also be held liable for the lack of conformity stemming from the packaging, the fitting instructions or the installation when such installation is the responsibility of the seller pursuant to the contract or has been conducted under the
seller’s supervision.

Article L. 217-5 of the French Consumer Code
The good shall be deemed in conformity with the contract

  1. If it is fit for the use usually expected from a similar good and, where appropriate: it matches the description given by the seller and has the qualities that such seller presented to the buyer by
    , means of a sample or model; and .if it presents the qualities that a buyer can legitimately expect given the public statements made by the seller, the manufacturer or its representative, in particular in the advertising or the labelling; or

  2. if it presents the characteristics mutually agreed upon by the parties or is fit for any special use intended by the buyer, made known to the seller and which the latter agreed to. Article L. 217-12 of the French Consumer Code The action resulting from the lack of conformity shall lapse two years after the delivery of the goods.

Article L. 217-16 of the French Consumer Code
During the effective period of the commercial warranty offered to a buyer at the time of acquisition or repair of a tangible asset, if the buyer requires from the seller a repair covered by the warranty, any period of seven days or more during which the goods are out of use for repair shall be added to the remaining term of the warranty. Such period shall run from the request for intervention made by the buyer or from the date when the said good is made available for repair, if this date is after the request for intervention.

Article 1641 of the French Civil Code
The seller shall guarantee the sold good for hidden defects which make it unfit for its intended use, or which diminish this use to such an extent that the buyer would not have bought it, or would only have accepted to buy it for a lesser price, had he been aware of such defects.

Article 164851of the French Civil Code
The action resulting from hidden defects has to be filed within two years of the discovery of the defect.

GERMANY

In Germany, the statutory warranty rights are provided for in Secs. 434 subseq. and 474 subseq. of the German Civil Code. They comprise the right for supplementary performance, rescission, reduction of purchase price and compensation of damages. The statutory warranty rights apply as of the time the risk in the product is transferred. In Germany, the “General Exclusions and Limitations of Liability” is replaced with the following provision: Belkin’s liability for damages caused by slight negligence, irrespective of its legal ground, shall be limited as follows: C) Belkin shall be liable up to the amount of the foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract due to a breach of material contractual obligations; Gi) Belkin shall not be liable due to a slightly negligent breach of any other duty of care applicable. The aforesaid limitations of liability shall not apply to any mandatory statutory liability, in particular to liability under the German Product Liability Act Produkthaftungsgesetz), and liability for culpably caused injuries of life, body or health. In addition, such limitations of liability shall not apply if and to the extent Belkin has assumed a specific guarantee.

  1. Connect the wall charger into a power outlet that is close by and is easy to disconnect from the source.
  2. Use indoors and in a dry location only; Avoid charging near sources of heat and humidity
  3. Keep the wall charger away from any liquids or moisture.
  4. Unplug the wall charger from the AC socket when not in use for long periods of time.
  5. Do not store the product in very hot or very cold locations. It is recommended to use the product at room temperature.
  6. Do not use if visible defects are observed on the wall charger.
  7. Do not attempt to service, modify, or disassemble the wall charger.
  8. Use of cables or accessories not recommended or sold by Belkin may result in an increased risk of fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the user, product, or other property.
  9. Keep this device out of reach of children to prevent them from playing with it.
