BRIGADE BL-240D-256-SD MDR Player
Product Information
The BL-240D-256-SD MDR Player is a playback software that is used to view recorded footage from the BL-240D mobile digital video recorder. It is compatible with Windows 10 and above and is only available for Windows PCs. The MDR Player can be downloaded from the official website of Brigade Electronics.
Install MDR Player
Please speak with your IT department as admin rights are required to install
and use the SD MDR Player. The MDR Player can be downloaded from here. As
Administration rights are required to open the software the user will need to
right click and Run as Administrator. Once completed an icon will show on the
desktop, double click to launch.
*Please note that that the MDR player is only available for Windows PC’s and will only work on Windows 10 and above.
Remove the SD card and put into the PC
Remove the SD card from the front panel of the BL-240D, connect to the PC directly or via a SD card reader. When the SD card from the BL-240D is connected to your Windows PC, it will ask to format this as it doesn’t recognise the format. DO NOT FORMAT THE SD CARD as this will wipe all your footage.
Click Cancel on this box
Playback software
File Query
To open the SD Card, open the MDVR Player and click on “Select Folder” button
shown below:
Select the SD card:
- Click on “OK”
- The software will bring up the stored recordings.
- It may take a few minutes to load all videos and list by date.
- This will show the whole pages and videos list by channel & time.
Query results
Double click on the video to play it or move the mouse of the timeline to
use the wheel on the mouse to zoom in/out of the timeline.
Playback video
The vehicle will show on the map. (If the vehicle is not shown, the tracking
map there may be an issue with the device’s GPS as it may not have signal, or
alternatively check the MAP application being used).
Icons
AVI Converter
This will convert the original video files to AVI format. You can select one
channel or all cat the same time. To back up footage, click on the AVI button.
Select the channels and time required to back up
Click start and the progress bar will start the process
Once complete the pop-up message will be displayed
Report
Click on the Printer Icon.
The below Window will show, you can add notes before you Print or Save this
file.
System Setup
System Parameters
- Language: Supports nine languages.
- Windows: One, four, nine windows for option when playing the video.
- Attention: The latest Firmware support file encryption, input the password to playback. If there is a device with a different password, Clear Authentication Data will need to be clicked first.
Map Parameters
- Speed unit: KM/H, MPH
- Map Type: Baidu, Google, Bing. MapInfo is not available, please don’t select it. For Google, the Google map API key is required.
Video Parameters
- Hide the Status window: Tick this to hide the vehicle status information.
- Loop play: The video will play on a loop. Some settings only work specific regions.
- **Note*** Some features below will only show if required hardware is connected.
