Product Usage Instructions
To use the SP L20 battery, follow these steps:
- Insert the battery into the device that requires power.
- Ensure that the battery is fully charged before use.
- Turn on the device and use it as intended.
- When the battery runs out of power, remove it from the device and recharge it using the appropriate charging equipment.
It is important to follow all safety instructions provided by the manufacturer when using the device and handling the battery.

GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Work area safety
- Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
- Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
- If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
- Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating
- Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
- Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
- Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
- If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dustrelated hazards.
Power tool use and care
- Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
- Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
- Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
- Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
- Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
- Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

MACHINESPECIFIC SAFETY WARNINGS
- Do not use the sprayer for any other purpose than spraying in gardens, orchards or agricultural environments.
- Never use the sprayer with flammable liquids. Failure to do so could result in staining, poisoning or injury.
- Never use the sprayer with acids, paints or varnishes. Failure to do so could result in staining, poisoning or injury.
- Carefully read the instructions and specifications of the chemical you use with the tool. Failure to do so could result in poisoning or injury when applying the product.
- Disconnect the power tool immediately if the tool locks up.
- Always be sure to close the sprayer cap tightly. Failure to do so could cause the chemical to spill or leak causing damage and accidents.
- Clean the tank thoroughly when emptying it. The mixture of different chemicals is particularly dangerous. Incorrect cleaning may cause accidents.
- Never use flammable liquids to clean the tank.
- Before using the sprayer, make sure that no components are broken or damaged. Check the screws, the condition of the hose and the tank.
- Do not use the tool when other people are nearby. You could poison or injure other people.
- If you must use mixed chemicals, mix them outside the tank and pour them once they are mixed. Do not use the sprayer tank to mix chemicals.
- Do not use the tool with an empty tank. Damage to the tool could occur.
- Use skin, eye and respiratory protection. Chemicals could cause poisoning and injury.
- Always keep the work area well ventilated. If you use the tool indoors you must avoid intoxication.
- Always be aware of wind direction and strength. Do not use the tool if the wind is strong. Failure to do so could result in staining, poisoning or injury.
- Avoid using the sprayer in high temperatures. High temperatures can cause chemicals to react causing accidents and injuries.
- Do not flush chemicals or tank cleaning water down the drain. Take environmentally harmful products to a clean point where they can be properly processed.
- Never leave the tank full or loaded after finishing the job. If there is liquid left over after using the sprayer, do not leave it stored in the tank of the tool. Empty and clean all components to avoid damage to the sprayer.
BATTERIES USE AND CARE
- Do not open the battery. Danger of shortcircuiting.
- Protect the battery against heat, e. g., against continuous intense sunlight, fire, water, and moisture. Danger of explosion.
- In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapours may be emitted. Provide for fresh air and seek medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irritate the respiratory system.
- Use the battery only in conjunction with your STAYER power tool. This measure alone protects the battery against dangerous overload.
- Use only original STAYER batteries with the voltage listed on the nameplate of your power tool. When using other batteries, e. g. imitations, reconditioned batteries or other brands, there is danger of injury as well as property damage through exploding batteries.
- Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the machine has been automatically switched off. The battery can be damaged.
- The battery is equipped with a temperature control which allows charging only within a temperature range of between 0 °C and 45 °C. A long battery service life is achieved in this manner.
- Observe the notes for disposal.
- Use only the battery chargers listed on the accessories page. Only these battery chargers are matched to the lithiumion battery of your power tool.
The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full capacity of the
battery, completely charge the battery in the battery charger before using
your power tool for the first time.
The lithiumion battery can be charged at any time without reducing its service
life. Interrupting the charging procedure does not damage the battery.
The lithiumion battery is protected against deep discharging. When the battery
is empty, the machine is switched off by means of a protective circuit: The
inserted tool no longer rotates.
Temperature Dependent Overload Protection
When using as intended for, the power tool cannot be subject to overload. When
the load is too high or the allowable battery temperature range of 0–50 °C is
exceeded, the speed is reduced. The power tool will not run at full speed
until reaching the allowable battery temperature. position. Unintentional
actuation of the On/Off switch can lead to injuries.
Open the keyless chuck 2 by turning in rotation direction , until the tool can
be inserted. Insert the tool. Firmly tighten the collar of the keyless chuck 2
by hand in rotation direction . This automatically locks the drill chuck.
The locking is released again to remove the tool when the collar is turned in
the opposite direction.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
PLACING OR FIXING THE TOOL

ASSEMBLY
Battery charging
Use only the battery chargers listed on the accessories page. Only these
battery chargers are matched to the lithiumion battery of your power tool.
Note: The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full capacity
of the battery, completely charge the battery in the battery charger before
using your power tool for the first time.
The lithiumion battery can be charged at any time without reducing its service
life. Interrupting the charging procedure does not damage the battery.
Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the machine has been
automatically switched off. The battery can be damaged.
To remove the battery, press the battery unlocking button and pull the battery
out of the power tool toward the rear. Do not exert any force.
The battery is equipped with a NTC temperature control which allows charging
only within a temperature range of between 0º C and 45º C. A long battery
service life is achieved in this manner.
Observe the notes for disposal.
Battery installation
The battery has to be inserted in a compartment covered with a lid (9) to prevent it from being exposed to humidity or chemical agents during the working process.
- Open the compartment cover (9) by lifting and pulling the tab.
- Gently insert the battery into the battery compartment by fitting it into the corresponding slot.
- Close the cover gently, the cover tab (9) will click into place and close the compartment.
To remove the battery follow the steps in reverse, pressing the battery button and pulling the battery gently.
Lance, Hose and Nozzle Assembly (1-2-7)
- To assemble the gun with the hose (7), insert the hose firmly through the base of the gun and use the nut that has the hose to screw the hose firmly to the gun.
- To connect the gun with the lance (2), screw the lance firmly to the gun at the top of the gun.
- To attach a nozzle (1) to the lance (2), screw the nozzle to the end of the lance.
Mounting the harness (10)
The lumbar support is factory installed on the tool. The backpack harness is
installed by inserting the fabric strap into the upper slot from back to front
and then fastening it with the plastic harness buckle.
The 2 lower straps are attached to both sides of the tool by means of 2 metal
buckles, thus allowing the height of the harness to be adjusted according to
the needs and dimensions of the operator.
Positioning of the clamp (4)
The tank has an integrated pivot on one of the sides into which the lance
clamp (4) simply has to be inserted by exerting pressure.
OPERATION
CONNECTION/DISCONNECTION
Insert the battery after making sure that it has sufficient charge following
the steps described in point 2 of this manual.
Make sure that the control lever (6) is in the off position to prevent the
machine from spraying by accident. Also check that the cover (3) is correctly
screwed on and fastened.
To start the power tool, press the ON/OFF button (8).
Use the control lever (6) to operate the sprayer.
To switch off the power tool, set the lever (6) to OFF mode and switch the
tool off by pressing the ON/OFF switch (8).
USE
Use of the control lever (6)
The control lever (6) has 2 working modes.
To spray the liquid, press the lever. To stop spraying, release the lever.
To spray in continuous mode, press the lever and while holding it down, slide
it forward. This locks the lever and sprays at an uninterrupted rate. To stop
the operation slide the lever backwards and release it.
Pressure control
Under the control lever (6) there is a wheel which, when turned, allows to
increase or decrease the pressure with which the machine sprays the liquid.
MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
Before any work on the machine (e. g., maintenance, tool change, etc.) as well
as during transport and storage, set the rotational direction switch to the
centre position.Unintentional actuation of the On/Off switch can lead to
injuries.
For safe and proper working, always keep the machine and ventilation slots
clean.
After finishing the work always empty the tank of the tool and rinse it with
plenty of water. After rinsing, fill the tank with more water and use the tool
for 2-3 minutes so that the hose, gun, lance and nozzle can also be cleaned.
Completely empty the tank and keep the machine running until the entire liquid
circuit is completely purged and emptied.
Wipe off any remaining moisture and leave the tool with the lid off in a
ventilated place so that any remaining moisture can be removed.
Cleaning the pump filter
The tool has a particle filter at the bottom of the tank to prevent
contamination of the pump. To clean it, carefully pull the filter away from
the hose, open the top cover of the filter and wash it with plenty of water.
Once washed and dried, place it back in the hose at the bottom of the tank
with light pressure.
Cleaning the gun filter
An integrated particle filter is located at the base of the gun to prevent
damage to the lance and nozzle. To clean it, remove the gun from the hose and
then unscrew the lower nut of the gun, exposing the internal filter.
After cleaning the filter, put it back into the gun and tighten the nut firmly
to make sure there are no leaks.
When the battery is no longer operative, please refer to an authorised
aftersales service agent for Stayer power tools.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken in manufacturing and testing
procedures, repair should be carried out by an aftersales service centre for
Stayer power tools.
TRANSPORT he contained lithiumion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods
Legislation requirements. The user can transport the batteries by road without
further requirements. When being transported by third parties (e.g.: air
transport or forwarding agency), special requirements on packaging and
labelling must be observed. For preparation of the item being shipped,
consulting an expert for hazardous material is required.
Dispatch batteries only when the housing is undamaged. Tape or mask off open
contacts and pack up the battery in such a manner that it cannot move around
in the packaging. Please also observe possibly more detailed national
regulations.
DISPOSAL
The machine, accessories and packaging should be sorted for environmental-
friendly recycling.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of power tools into house-hold waste!
According the European Guideline 2012/19/EU for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and its implementation into national right, power tools that a re no longer usa-ble must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
Battery packs/batteries: Li-Ion:
Please observe the instructions in section “Transport”. Do not dispose of
battery packs/batteries into household waste, fire or water.
Battery packs/batteries should be collected, recycled or disposed of in an
environmental-friendly manner.
Only for EC countries:
Defective or dead out battery packs/batteries must be recycled according the
guideline 2006/66/CE.
