User Guide

FLEX SEAL® is a rubberized sealant spray coating that sprays out as a liquid, seeps into cracks and holes, then dries to a watertight, flexible coating. It’s the easy way to coat, seal, and stop leaks fast.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

  • Seeps into cracks & holes
  • Dries into a watertight, flexible, pliable coating
  • Thick, durable, mastic coating
  • Helps stop vibrations & deaden noise
  • Helps protect surface from corrosion
  • When applied properly, lasts for years
  • Will not lose its strength
  • Withstands normal hydrostatic water pressure
  • Won’t sag or drip in summer heat nor crack and peel in winter
  • Dries to the touch in 2-3 hours
  • Cures by evaporation and fully cures in 24 to 48 hours
  • Dries to a satin finish
  • Once dry — can be painted with high-quality latex paint

TEMPERATURES

  • Storage: 60° F to 100° F
  • Apply to surfaces: 0° F to 10
  • Withstands: -20° F to 140° F

HOW DO I USE IT?

  • Clean surface free of grease, dirt, & oil
  • Shake can vigorously for 1 minute before use
  • Spray in short bursts in an even sweeping motion
  • Spray 8″ to 12″ from surface in a well-ventilated area ONLY
  • Apply multiple, thin, even coats, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next
  • Spray a larger area than source of leak
  • Feather the edges
  • Can be applied on wet or dry surfaces
  • After use, flip can upside down, spray a couple bursts to clear nozzle
  • Remove any excess with dry paper towel
  • Use pumice soap to clean hands

NOT RECOMMENDED:

  • Not designed to withstand extreme heat, pressure, or harsh chemicals
  • Do not use to seal gas/oil tanks (flammable materials)
  • Not tested for safe use with plants & animals
  • Do not use on potable water containers
  • Not tested for food safety
  • Not recommended for underfoot applications
  • Do not use on Styrofoam
  • Not affiliated with GAF. Not for use by professional roofers
