Product Information
The 10-Port Industrial USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) Hub with 15 kV/8 kV Air/Contact ESD
Protection is a high-performance hub designed for industrial applications. The
hub is wall or DIN rail mountable and comes with a USB Type-B host port, ten
USB Type-A ports, and a DC power input. The hub is compatible with external DC
power adapters
or terminal block power sources with a voltage range of +5 – 24 V DC. The hub
is designed to protect connected devices from electrostatic discharge (ESD)
and features mounting holes for easy installation.
Product Usage Instructions

Connect the USB Type-A to Type-B cable from the USB Type-B host port on the hub to a USB-A port on the host computer.

The host computer’s operating system will detect the USB hub.

Connect up to ten USB peripheral devices to the USB Type-A ports on the USB hub.

To power the hub using the 2-wire terminal block, remove the terminal block connector housing from the USB hub’s casing, loosen the screws for the terminals located on the terminal block connector, connect the positive and negative wires from the DC power source to the terminals, and insert the terminal block connector housing back into the USB hub.

To mount the hub onto a wall, use a stud finder to locate wall studs, mark the location of the mounting holes on the wall, drill pilot holes into each mounting hole mark, align the mounting holes on the hub with the pilot holes, insert the mounting screws through the wall mounting holes and into the wall, and tighten the mounting
screws until the hub is securely fastened to the wall. -
To mount the hub onto a DIN rail horizontally, align the DIN rail brackets with the DIN rail mounting holes located on either side of the USB hub, insert the mounting screws through the DIN rail brackets and into the USB hub, and tighten the mounting screws.

To mount the hub onto a DIN rail vertically, align the DIN rail bracket with the DIN rail mounting holes located on the USB hub, insert the mounting screws through the DIN rail bracket and into the USB hub, and tighten the mounting screws.

Installation
Notes
- Connect the Power Source after all the other installation steps have been completed.
- There are two ways to power the USB Hub.
Using an external DC Power Adapter or a Terminal Block Power Source. Voltage (+5 – 24 V DC).
Connect the USB Ports
- Connect the USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-B Cable to the USB Type-B Host Port, located on the USB Hub, and to a USB-A Port, located on the Host Computer.
- The Host Computer’s Operating System will detect the USB Hub.
- Connect up to 10 USB Peripheral Devices to the USB Type A Ports, located on the USB Hub.
Power the Hub
Power the Hub Using the 2-Wire Terminal Block

Remove the Terminal Block Connector Housing from the USB Hub’s Casing.

Loosen the screws for the Terminals located on the Terminal Block Connector, using a Flat Head Screwdriver.

Connect the Positive and Negative Wires from the DC Power Source (+5 – 24 V DC) to the Terminals on the Terminal Block Connector, the Terminals are marked on the USB Hub’s Casing.
Note: Ensure the polarity of the power input is correctly matched with the DC 2-Wire Terminal Block Pins to function properly and to prevent damage to the USB Hub and any connected peripherals. -
Insert the Terminal Block Connector Housing back into USB Hub.
Power the Hub Using an External Power Adapter
Connect the Power Adapter to the Power Input Port, located on the front of the USB Hub and to an AC Electrical Outlet.
Surface Mounting
Note: Always mount onto Wall Studs, when installing the USB Hub onto
drywall.

- (Optional) If mounting onto drywall, use a Stud Finder to locate the Wall Stud(s) on your wall.
- Hold the Hub in the desired mounting location, and mark the location of the Mounting Holes, using a Writing Utensil (use a level to ensure the two Mounting Holes are level).
- Using an Electric Driver, drill Pilot Holes into each of Mounting Hole Marks.
- Hold the Hub in the desired mounting location, aligning the Mounting Holes on the Hub with the Pilot Holes created in Step 3.
- Insert the Mounting Screws (x 2) through the Wall Mounting Holes and into the Wall, and tighten the Mounting Screws until the Hub is securely fastened to the Wall, using a Phillips Head Screwdriver.
DIN Rail Mounting
Horizontal
- Align the Din Rail Brackets (x 2) with the DIN Rail Mounting Holes, Horizontal (x 4), located on either side of the USB Hub (rear).
- Insert the Mounting Screws (x 4) through the DIN Rail Brackets and into the USB Hub.
- Using a Phillips Head Screwdriver, tighten the Mounting Screws. Be careful not to over-tighten the Mounting Screws.
Vertical
- Align the Din Rail Bracket (x 1) with the DIN Rail Mounting Holes, Vertical (x 2) located on the USB Hub (rear).
- Insert the Mounting Screws (x 2) through the DIN Rail Bracket and into the USB Hub.
- Using a Phillips Head Screwdriver, tighten the Mounting Screws. Be careful not to over-tighten.
