Before the First Use

Please read the operating instructions and the safety instructions carefully before using the device for the first time .
Keep the operating instructions together with the device for future use . If you pass on the device to a third party, this manual is part of the device and must be supplied with the device .

Intended Use

This unit is designed for use as photo and video lighting only . It must not be used for other purposes and in particular not for domestic room lighting .
Explanation of Symbols
The following symbols are used in this manual, on the LED light or on the packaging .
Products marked with this symbol comply with all relevant community regulations of the European Economic Area .
Products marked with this symbol are operated with direct current .

Safety Instructions

– Only connect the product if the mains voltage of the socket or the USB input corresponds to the information on the type plate on the back of the product .
– Do not use the product if it is visibly damaged or if the cable is defective .
– Use only the USB-C cable supplied .
– If the product or accessories are damaged, they must be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer, ts customer service or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards .
– The housing must not be opened and repairs may only be carried out by a specialist . To do this, contact a specialist workshop . In the event of repairs by the user, improper connection or incorrect operation, all liability and warranty claims are excluded .
– Do not insert any objects into the product .
– Do not leave the product unattended during operation .
– Protect the product from moisture . Do not touch  it with wet / damp hands or submerge it in water .
– This product is not waterproof! Do not use this product in the rain or in wet areas .
– Do not open, damage, short circuit, bypass, or use the battery for any other purpose .
– Keep the battery away from children and animals, open flames and liquids and do not expose it to temperatures higher than 50 °C . In addition, observe the information on caring for the battery in these operating instructions .
– Do not use or store the device at high temperatures or in closed rooms with direct sunlight and do not charge the battery during this time .
The product should no longer be used at ambient temperatures of more than 50 °C .
– Do not use the device in the vicinity of flammable gases or liquids, as this can lead to explosions .
– Do not point the product at drivers of cars, buses, bicycles, motorcyclists, or train drivers while driving . The driver can be blinded and cause an accident . This also applies to persons or groups not listed if an accident could be caused by possible glare .
– Do not point the product directly into the eyes of  people or animals, as this can damage the retina,  impair vision and even lead to blindness .
– The device is not a toy . Keep the device, accessories and packaging materials away from children and animals to prevent accidents and suffocation .
– Provide adequate ventilation during operation .
Never cover the device .
– If you sell the product to someone else, give up also pass these operating instructions on to this person .
Note: For lighting for photographic purposes only .
Not suitable for permanent room lighting .

Battery Warnings

– Do not disassemble, hit or puncture the battery, be careful not to short- circuit the battery . Do not expose the battery to places with high temperatures . Do not continue to use the battery if it leaks or expands .
– Always charge through the system . If the battery is replaced with the wrong type, there is a risk of explosion .
– Keep the battery away from children and animals .
– Batteries can explode if exposed to an open fire .
Never throw batteries into a fire .
– Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations .
– Before disposing of the appliance, remove the battery and dispose of it separately .

Precautions

– Fully charge the battery, then disconnect the USB cable .
– If the product has not been used for a long period of time, charge the battery before using it again .
– To extend the battery life, you should charge the battery at least every three months .
– This product has a built-in, rechargeable battery that has a specific run time . If this has been used for a certain period of time, the performance of the battery will be reduced . This is normal .
– If the device is used in too cold or too hot ambient temperatures, the device switches off automatically .
– Please have the product checked by an authorized service center if a problem occurs .
You are not permitted to dismantle the product if it malfunctions . Otherwise your guarantee will be void .

Operation

Charging
– Connect the LUMIS Magnetic Smartphone Ring Light Bi-Color to the USB-C cable and this to a suitable power adapter and power source .
– While the battery is charging, the battery charging LED [6] lights up red .
When the battery is fully charged, the battery charging LED [6] lights up green .
Notes:
– No quickchargers and/or superchargers may be used to charge the Rollei LUMIS Magnetic Smartphone Ring Light Bi-Color, only power adapters with a maximum of DC
5 .0 V / 1 .0 A .
– Please use only the USB-C cable included in the package to charge the device . Otherwise, there is a danger of fire or electric shock .
Mounting via Magnetic Backside for Smartphones With Integrated Magnets
– Bring the magnetic backside  [5] of the LUMIS Magnetic  Smartphone Ring Light Bi-Color together with the magnetic backside of your smartphone until they stick  together .

Operation
Mounting via Metal Ring for Smartphones Without Integrated Magnets
– Clean the surface of the back of your smartphone .
– Remove the protective film on the adhesive surface [10] of the metal ring .
– Place the adhesive surface [10] of the metal ring at the desired position on the back of your smartphone .
– Bring the magnetic backside [5] of the LUMIS Magnetic Smartphone Ring Light Bi-Color together with the metal ring until they stick together .

Mounting via Suction Cup Clamp
– Clean the surface of the backside of the LUMIS Magnetic Smartphone Ring Light Bi-Color .
– Press the suction cups [9] of the suction cup clamp to the back of the LUMIS Magnetic Smartphone Ring Light Bi-Color until they adhere .
– Press the clamp brackets [8] of the suction cup clamp apart and attach them to your smartphone .

Switch On / Switch Off
– Press the on/off/brightness button [3] for a few seconds to switch the LUMIS Magnetic Smartphone Ring Light Bi-Color on or off .
Set Brightness
– Press the on/off/brightness button [3] briefly to set the desired brightness in 3 different brightness levels .
Set Color Temperature
– Press the color temperature plus and color temperature minus buttons [2/1] briefly to set the desired color temperature from 2,500 – 8,500 K in 7 different color  temperature levels .
– Press and hold the color temperature plus and color temperature minus buttons [2/1] to set the color temperature steplessly from 2,500 – 8,500 K .
