Operation

Before the first Use
Remove all packaging materials from the appliance and from the accessories. Clean all parts of the appliance before using the first time as described below under “cleaning”.
Operating the egg cooker requires no special preparation. Still, please notice these points:
It is not unusual for the egg cooker to briefly emit an unpleasant smell while heating up for the first time. This is no reason for concern.
Please keep in mind that piercing the eggs shortens the shelf life of the boiled eggs. On the other hand, if you do not pierce the eggs, the shell may crack during cooking.
It is advisable not to soak the eggs in cold water after cooking. With the water bacteria may enter the boiled egg and cause it to spoil prematurely. Soaked eggs should be eaten within the day; eggs which have not been soaked will keep for up to three months in the refrigerator.

Operation

  1. Place the housing of the egg cooker on a flat surface.
  2. If necessary, pierce the desired number of eggs in the middle of the bulbous side. Use the egg piercing needle under the cover on the underside of the measuring cup. Be careful not to hurt yourself with the sharp needle.
  3. Fill the measuring beaker with tap water at a normal temperature. Please refer to the tables below for the amount of water to be used.
  4. Pour the contents of the measuring cup into the bowl on top of the egg cooker. Only use the measuring beaker supplied.
  5. Place the egg tray on the housing of the egg cooker.
  6. Place the eggs with the bulbous side on the egg tray.
  7. Place the cover on the egg tray. Make sure that the parts are flush with one another as intended.
  8. Insert the power plug into a properly grounded safety socket.
  9. Switch on the egg cooker with the push button. The indicator light shows that the egg cooker is switched on. Do not touch the cover or the cooking bowl during or after the cooking process, as these become very hot. When the cooking process is finished, an acoustic signal sounds.
  10. Turn off the egg cooker. If you do not intend to use the device for a long period of time, pull out the power plug if necessary.
  11. Lift the cover off the egg tray. Always hold the cover by the handle to avoid getting burned. Then place the cover on a heat-resistant surface.
  12. Lift the egg tray out of the egg cooker and also place the tray on a heat-resistant surface.
Allow the device parts to cool down sufficiently before cleaning or storing them.
