Home Kit  Handy hints and tips

• Turn your smartphone into your key.
• The intuitive Yale Home app lets you manage the access of your home remotely.
• When used in conjunction with a Yale Connect Plus Hub 2

DOWNLOAD YALE HOME APP

Step 1

• The app requires a minimum operating system of iOS 11 Plus for iPhone, and 8 Plus for Android-based phones. Bluetooth 4.0.
• Reconfirm minimum system requirements. Remore note regarding Bluetooth
• iOS SYSTEM: Once you have the app you can press and hold on the app to share the app with other iPhone users.
• ANDROID SYSTEM: For an Android-based phone you will need to search for the app in the Google app store, you can save a link to this store in your favorites.

INSTALL CONNECT PLUS HUB 2

Step 2

• Install the Connect Plus Hub 2 Install Connet Plus Hub 2 for remote WiFi access.
• Please note that before you set it up, make sure your phone is connected to the WiFi using 2.4GHZ*.
• Note: Only 2.4GHZ will work with Yale Home

Model:

• YAR/SWAA/HUB
• YAR/BDG/BLE
• YAR/BDG/ZGB
• YAR/BDG/OMN

Alternatively

• The app will prompt you to set up a ‘Wi-Fi bridge’ once you have registered the module.
• Open the app and go to the tab at the top left of the home page, once in here press “SET UP A DEVICE”
• Scan the QR code (or enter the code as circled), then plug the then and connect the Hub to the power socket.
• Follow as instructed by the Yale Home app.

IMPORTANT!

• You won’t be able to make the connection if you are using 5GHz, but you can change back to 5GHz once the bridge has been connected.
• The “signal appears to be weak” doesn’t affect the bridge’s performance, continue past this point until the setup is finished.

SET UP YALE HOME MODULE

Step 3

• Model: YAR/SWAA/ZMD
• Your Yale Home app should look like this once you have logged into your account for the first time. Set up the new device

IMPORTANT!

• The serial number always uses zero, not the letter “O” (See pic ‘M13S0C1UR’)
• If you don’t remove a battery before inserting the module, only the numbers 1 to 6 will show

SET UP YALE AERON MODULE

• Open the app and go to the tab at the top left of the home page, once in here press SET UP A DEVICE

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your module does not register successfully and you end up with the following error message:
