Before you begin, verify that the power tool plug is compatible with the outlet. Never modify plugs or outlets in any way.
-
Disconnect the electrical tool from the power supply before replacing any accessories.
-
Press the spindle lock to block the gears from turning. Loosen the outer flange by using the pin wrench.
CAUTION! ONLY PRESS THE SPINDLE LOCK DOWN BUTTON WHEN THE ENGINE HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED! -
Replace the old grinding accessory. Check the new grinding disc or wheel. It must not be damaged, wet, or cracked. Install the new grinding wheel in accordance with the disc assembly flange requirements shown on page 5 of this manual.
-
After correctly installing the new grinding wheel, tighten the outer flange by depressing the spindle lock and using the pin wrench to tighten the outer flange.
-
After replacing a grinding accessory, run the angle grinder tool with no load for one minute. Pay attention to unusual sounds, vibrations, or sparks. Discontinue use immediately if the grinding accessory is running uneasily or vibrating after replacement.
EXPERT TIP:-
For best results when grinding move the grinder steadily in a back-and-forth motion at an angle of 15 to 30 degrees (between abrasive accessory and the workpiece) with moderate pressure. Do not press the tool too forcefully against the workpiece. If the rotational speed of the tool has dropped considerably, you must reduce the pressure on the workpiece until the full rotational speed is restored. If the grinder stops completely or becomes jammed, the power supply must be turned off immediately.
STOP USE IMMEDIATELY IF: -
Insulation, cord, or cord bend protection are damaged
-
Plug or switch are damaged or only have loose contact
-
The grinding disc is rotating unevenly
-
The grinding disc is intensely sparking
-
-
Always keep the electric tool clean. The vent holes have to be kept free and there must net be any contaminant, as e.g. chipping in the holes.
