Product Information

The Floor Fan Q.6862 is a fan designed for indoor use only. It comes with a propeller, front grille, speed control (with three speeds), tilt adjusting nut, and foot. This product is intended for home use or in similar environments such as kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices or other work environments, farms, by customers in hotels, motels and other residential environments, and guest room type environments. It is not suitable for outdoor use. The appliance must be positioned on a flat surface for use and all ventilation outlets around the appliance must be kept clear.

Usage Instructions

  1. Before using the Floor Fan Q.6862, ensure that the local electrical current matches the one specified on the appliance’s nameplate. The appliance should only be connected to a grounded socket.
  2. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  3. Children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge can use this appliance if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  4. Unplug the mains cable from the mains as soon as you stop using it and before any cleaning or maintenance operation.
  5. Never remove the fan guards for cleaning or maintenance. After assembly, do not remove the guards during use or cleaning.
  6. Do not submerge the appliance, mains cable or plug in water or any other liquid. Do not cover the product.
  7. Do not use this appliance in or around bathtubs, showers, sinks, or other sources of water.
  8. The mains cable should be regularly examined for damage or deterioration. Do not use the appliance if the mains cable is found to be damaged.
  9. Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is running.

When using the Floor Fan Q.6862, follow these instructions:

  1. Place the appliance on a flat surface.
  2. Plug the appliance into a grounded socket.
  3. Select the desired speed (1, 2, or 3) using the speed control.
  4. Adjust the tilt of the fan using the tilt adjusting nut.
  5. Do not turn the appliance over while in use.
  6. After use, unplug the mains cable from the mains and wait for the appliance to cool down before cleaning or storing it.

USE

Place the fan base on a dry, level surface.
Plug the power cord into a 220-240 V electrical outlet.
Switching on is controlled by buttons 1,2 or 3.
Switching off is controlled by button 0.
To tilt the air direction up or down, tilt the fan grilles to the desired angle.

NOTES:

  • This high velocity fan can be used alone or with an air conditioner.
  • Tilt the fan head upward to project air close to the floor or upward to circulate air throughout the room.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
Clean the appliance with a soft, dust-proof cloth.
You can use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and lint trapped in the ventilation grilles.
Never use harsh cleaning products. Prevent the appliance from coming into contact with acidic substances.
Store away from dust and freezing temperatures.

GUARANTEES

Guarantees and limitations of liability
Products are guaranteed for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase, or from the date of delivery to the customer’s home. Depending on the country, this guarantee consists of 24 to 36 months of validity for the legal compliance guarantee.
For countries that only implement a 24-month legal compliance guarantee, a 12-month commercial guarantee is applied at the end of the first guarantee, and supplements it.

For the commercial guarantee
Please go to the reception desk at your place of purchase with your proof of purchase (e.g. sales receipt), the product and the accessories it came with, and its original packaging, for all countries other than France. It is important to have the date of purchase, the model and the serial number or IMEI number to hand (this information is usually indicated on the product,packaging, or on your proof of purchase). You’ll need to bring back the product with the accessories needed for its correct functioning (power supply, adapter, etc.). If your claim is covered by the guarantee, the after- sales service may, within the limits of local law, either:

  • Repair or replace faulty parts.
  • Exchange the returned product with a product that has,at the least, the same features and that offers equivalent performances.
  • Refund the product at the price stated on the proof of purchase.
    Repaired or replaced products may include new and/or reconditioned hardware and components.

Commercial guarantee exclusions:

  • Damages or problems caused by improper use, accident, tampering/modification or an unsuitable current or voltage connection.
  • Use or storage conditions which are detrimental to the good conservation of the appliance (oxidation,corrosion), use of energy, use or installation non-compliant with the manufacturer’s instructions, or negligence or use of peripherals, software or consumables which are unsuitable.
  • Professional or collective, industrial or commercial use of the product.
  • Products that have been modified, or which have damaged,altered, erased or oxidised guarantee seals or serial numbers.
  • Replaceable batteries and accessories are guaranteed for 6 months.
  • Battery failure, caused by overcharging or by failure to follow the safety instructions set out in the manual.
  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches, bumps or vandalism.
  • Damage caused by any servicing operations carried out by non-authorised persons.
  • Faults caused by normal wear and tear or the normal ageing of the product: seals, filters, accessories,
  • vacuum cleaner brush and hose, lamps, overhead projector lamps, washing machine paddles, etc.
  • Software updates as a consequence of changes to network settings.
  • Damage caused by elements external to the appliance (foreign bodies, insects, etc.).
  • The contents of the devices – freezer, washing machine, etc. (food, clothing, etc.)
  • Product failure caused by the use of third-party software to modify, change, adapt or alter the product as is.
  • Product failure resulting from its use without the accessories supplied with the product or approved by the Manufacturer.
  • Parts for normal wear and tear or damage from use: tyre, inner tube, brake, etc.

The customer is responsible for regularly backing up the data contained on their hard disk or in the internal memory of their device, and this before any claim is submitted.
Auchan cannot be held liable for the loss or destruction of stored data, nor may it be held liable for damage caused to software resulting from, in particular, a restoration or a breakdown.
Similarly, Auchan is not required to check that SIM/SD cards have been removed from returned products.

Under no circumstances shall the provisions set out above reduce or eliminate: the legal guarantee referred to above, and the manufacturer’s commercial guarantee, if applicable (see guarantee form).
