MAINTENANCE
Respect the safety warnings when following the procedure below.
CALC CLEAN SYSTEM – Scale removal function.
The scale must be removed whenever the Calc Clean indicator light button (5)
begins flashing and the appliance emits an intermittent acoustic signal.
Make sure there is water in the tank, and that the temperature knob is set to the CALC CLEAN /MAX position.
Hold the iron above a container or the sink, and press the CALC CLEAN button for about 2 seconds. The red indicator light will remain fixed and the iron will begin the cleaning phase (which lasts about 2 minutes). During this time, water, steam and scale particles will emerge from the plate. Do not move the iron until the cleaning process has ended.
When the acoustic signal and the indicator light go off, this means the cleaning process has been completed. Before starting to iron again, wipe the plate with a cotton cloth to remove any residue.
NOTE:
The CALC CLEAN indicator light button is only active when the memo is
activated, illuminating the indicator light and emitting the acoustic signal.
Do not leave the appliance unattended while the CALC CLEAN function is active.
Do not interrupt the CALC CLEAN process once it has begun.

DISPOSAL
The appliance packaging is made of recyclable materials. Dispose of the
packaging in accordance with the environmental protection regulations.
Pursuant to Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE), the crossed bin symbol on the appliance or its packaging indicates
that the appliance must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end
of its useful life.
The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate recycling center for electrical and electronic equipment. Alternatively, instead of handling the disposal, the user can hand over the appliance to the retailer when a new, equivalent one is purchased. The user can hand over electronic products measuring less than 25 cm to retailers of electronic products having a sales area of at least 400 m2 free of charge and with no obligation to buy. Appropriate separate collection for the subsequent procedure for the decommissioned appliance for recycling, which includes treatment and environmentally friendly disposal helps prevent adverse effects on the environment and health and promotes reusing and/or recycling materials that the appliance consists of.

The above list merely gives examples; it is not complete, as this warranty in any case does not cover circumstances that cannot be traced back to manufacturing flaws. In addition, this warranty is not considered valid in cases of improper appliance use or professional use. No responsibility can be taken for any harm or damage caused directly or indirectly to people, pets, or property as a result of the failure to observe all the indications given in the “Instructions and warnings booklet” with regard to the installation, use, and maintenance of the appliance.
