ETON UG VAG25 Plug and Play V.A.G. Tweeters
Product Information:
The Plug & Play V.A.G. Tweeters (UG VAG25) are specially designed for various V.A.G. models from the year of manufacture 2008 with MQB standard. The tweeters come with a strong neodymium magnet and dual damping materials, providing outstanding performance. The product includes a specially developed Plug & Play connector flange with 3-point mounting and accurately fitting V.A.G. specific dual connector plugs, making the installation process very easy. The cable crossover is specially tuned with high-quality components and has a 12 dB/Oct. slope as well as level adjustment (0 dB / +3 dB). The tweeters have a low resonance frequency of 1.2 kHz, a vented voice coil, and 4 ohms impedance.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Read all the safety instructions before installing the tweeters.
- Make sure you have all the necessary tools mentioned in the manual.
- Remove the door panel of your vehicle and locate the factory speaker location.
- Disconnect the factory speaker wires and remove the factory speakers.
- Connect the tweeter wires to the factory speaker wires using the accurately fitting V.A.G.-specific dual connector plugs.
- Mount the tweeters using the specially developed Plug & Play connector flange with 3-point mounting.
- Adjust the level of the tweeters according to your preference using the level adjustment (0 dB / +3 dB).
- Put back the door panel and test the tweeters for proper functioning.

Volume and driver awareness
The use of music systems may prevent the driver from hearing important traffic
sounds and thereby constitute a driving hazard.
ETON accepts no liability for hearing loss, physical injury or damage to property resulting from the use or misuse of its products.
Tools
You will need the following tools, which you should have at hand.
- Several Torx screwdrivers in different sizes
- Flat-head screwdriver – size approx. 2 mm or plastic handle
- Plastic lever set
- Side cutter + cutter knife
- Suitable 2-component adhesive for securing
Tweeter installation
Remove the A-column cladding by carefully lifting it off with a suitable tool
and pull the tweeter cable out of the plug connector fixed to the A
-column.
Remove the three fusion points of the tweeter with a sharp knife. Place the tweeter onto the pins of the speaker opening. Make sure that all the clips are properly fixed into place and the adhesive ring creates a perfect seal.
To make sure, stick each of the three clips with a customary two-component
adhesive. Connect the plugs, to do this, use one of the two matching connector
plugs. (A or B, depending on the V.A.G. model).
For some V.A.G. models it makes sense to increase the level by +3 dB, for this replace the connectors (C). Check all cable plug connections and clips. Reassemble the A-pillars in reverse order. If clips are broken off during disassembly, replace them beforehand.
