GENERAL INFORMATION

This manual describes the fitting process, the correct use of the product and important safety information. Store this user’s manual in a place that is accessible to all users at all times.

PROPER USE AND SAFETY INFORMATION

Please note:

  • Read this user’s manual carefully from beginning to end and follow the instructions it contains.
  • When using the dog transport crate for the first time, follow the instructions on the “Fitting instructions” supplementary sheet.
  • The crate can be secured in position with the vehicle’s seat belts or ISOFIX.

Use

  • The dog transport crate must only be used for transporting dogs.
  • The crate must not be used for transporting children.
  • The “ISOFIX belts” accessory is used to secure the dog crate to the vehicle’s rear seats and must be attached properly and safely. Ensure that the ISOFIX coupling is always engaged correctly and securely.
  • Use with a belt with a rated load of 8 kg
  • Use with ISOFIX with a rated load of 8 kg · Bolsters and child seat base as additional protection

WARNING

  • If, in exceptional cases, you are using a dog transport crate on the passenger seat, the passenger airbag must be deactivated. There is a risk of death for the dog if the passenger airbag is not deactivated!
  • Reactivate the passenger airbag as soon as you no longer require the dog crate, so that the airbag can provide protection again.
  • The driver is responsible for activating and deactivating the passenger airbag.
  • Furthermore, when using the crate on the passenger seat, the seat must be moved to a fully upright position.
Safety information

  • The crate must not prevent you from driving safely (handbrake/gear stick).
  • The crate must not be used if it would restrict your view to the outside.
  • The crate must only be used on the seats intended for this purpose.
  • In particularly sunny weather and if the doors are closed, the inside of the vehicle may become very hot, which can be uncomfortable for animals. In high outside temperatures, open the window closest to the dog crate. In summer or in high temperatures, dogs must not be left in a stationary vehicle for more than 15 minutes.
  • Follow the instructions in the manual for the relevant vehicle model. · The dog transport crate must not be improperly used or modified after purchase and no attachments of any kind must be fitted to it unless expressly permitted by the manufacturer. Parts that were screwed on by the manufacturer may only be removed or replaced by the factory or an authorised specialist. The manufacturer shall accept no liability in the event of accidents or faults of any kind resulting from improper use.
  • The information on the crate regarding maximum load (rated load), transport of animals and possible use in the specific country are binding.
  • You can find information about the rated load on the product label in the crate, under the cushion.
  • Use with a belt with a rated load of 8 kg
  • Use with ISOFIX with a rated load of 8 kg
  • Safety check: Before each journey, check the load to make sure that it is properly secured. Always adapt your driving to the traffic conditions. The provisions of the StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations) and the StVO (German Road Traffic Regulations) must be complied with for the entire duration of use. The permissible total weight must not be exceeded (unladen weight + load). The provisions of the StVO (German Road Traffic Regulations) must be complied with for loading. · In addition, if you are intending to take the dog transport crate on any trips or journeys that cross national borders, find out what local regulations apply in each of the countries you will be travelling in. · Industrial property rights in the listed countries.

MAINTAINING RELIABLE OPERATION

To ensure that the product operates reliably and without faults even after years of use, it is important to follow the instructions below:
Aluminium parts Replace damaged parts immediately. Risk of breakage: Never bend back deformed or bent aluminium parts.
Plastic parts Replace faulty components immediately.
Steel parts Replace badly corroded parts.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

  • The crate requires no maintenance.
  • To clean the combi cover, just use soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge.

WARNING

  • To prevent damaging the material, never use abrasive cleaning products or cleaning products that contain solvents, such as acetone, toluene, etc.

WARRANTY AND LIABILITY

Warranty claims: The manufacturer shall provide a two-year warranty for the dog transport crate from the date of purchase. The obligation of the manufacturer under this warranty shall be limited to the replacement and/ or repair of parts which are found to have material or manufacturing defects during a test performed by the manufacturer. This warranty obligation on the part of the manufacturer shall require the parts under warranty to be handled, used and configured correctly. The warranty shall not apply to parts that have been repaired or modified without the express approval of the manufacturer. The warranty shall be limited to the following conditions in particular:

  • The dog transport crate must be used as a dog crate.
  • Damaged parts must be cleaned and sent back to the manufacturer in their entirety.

In all cases, the service shall be limited to the replacement of faulty parts and does not cover reinstallation, removal and transport. This warranty shall apply in place of all other explicit or implicit assurances and obligations and shall exclude other obligations. The customer shall not be authorised to make a warranty declaration that goes beyond the existing warranty vis-àvis a third party. If the customer nevertheless makes such a declaration, the manufacturer shall refuse to accept any liability. The customer shall additionally undertake to compensate for all activities and inconveniences. This list is conclusive.

Limitation of liability

The manufacturer shall refuse to accept any liability for damage caused by keeping, owning, using or operating the crates supplied. The customer shall be responsible for the safety regulations that apply at the location of use. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any approvals for use on public roads that are required in the applicable countries. The costs and charges for corresponding modifications shall be borne by the customer. The manufacturer shall refuse to accept any liability in particular for any subsequent damage unless there are any provisions to the contrary under product liability legislation.

Application

The dog transport crate may only be used as a dog crate. Use of the dog crate for other purposes will result in any liability being refused.

Legal venue

The ordinary courts at the registered office of the manufacturer (Arbon) shall be expressly responsible for all disputes. The manufacturer shall also be entitled to take legal action at the customer’s headquarters.

Applicable law

The agreement shall be governed by Swiss law.
