If no charging device is placed on the 911 Turbo Wireless Charging Piston and the power LED is not illuminated, the 911 Turbo Wireless Charging Piston is in standby mode. Disconnect the power supply from the mains socket or remove the USB-C cable to disconnect the 911 Turbo Wireless Charging Piston completely from the mains.
Charging your smartphone with the 911 Turbo Wireless Charging Piston
Place your smartphone in the middle of the charging mat of the 911 Turbo
Wireless Charging Piston with the back of your phone on the charging mat. The
‘PORSCHE’ logo must be facing you.
Note: refer to your phone’s operating instructions for the position of the
contactless charging antennas in order to align it correctly. A protective
case on the smartphone can prevent the charging process. Remove any protective
case before charging.
If the smartphone has been correctly aligned, the charging process begins and
the LED on the 911 Turbo Wireless Charging Piston lights up permanently green.
The charging process can be terminated at any time by removing the end device.
If the end device signals that the charging process has ended, the LED on the
911 Turbo Wireless Charging Piston goes out.
Note: it is normal for the smartphone and the 911 Turbo Wireless Charging
Piston to heat up during operation. The 911 Turbo Wireless Charging Piston
automatically stops the charging process when a critical temperature is
reached.
Troubleshooting
If you use a protective case for your phone, remove it before charging.
Otherwise the charging process may be terminated prematurely or may not start.
Ensure that there are no metallic foreign bodies on the charging pad of the
911 Turbo
Wireless Charging Piston. If metallic foreign bodies are detected, the LED on
the 911 Turbo
Wireless Charging Piston will flash. In this case, the charging process will
not start.
Remove the foreign bodies and restart the charging process.
Make sure that the wireless charging transmitter and receiver units are
correctly aligned.
The transmitter unit on the 911 Turbo Wireless Charging Piston is located
exactly in the middle of the charging pad under the ‘PORSCHE’ logo. Refer to
your phone’s operating instructions
to locate the receiver unit on your phone.
Make sure that the power supply used complies with the requirements specified
in the “Connecting and operating” chapter. If the LED flashes after the
smartphone has been placed on the charging pad, and there are definitely no
metallic foreign bodies on the pad, it could be that the power supply does not
comply with the requirements.
